Chapter 6

No one's p.o.v

"That would be so much fun, you're in!!" (Y/n) says and throws the life guard floatie/thingie towards Dipper, he caught it and smiles big. (Y/n) then motions towards the Mr Poolcheck saying "you just gotta check in with our boss first, Mr Poolcheck." Dipper was confused as he looks at where (Y/n)'s pointing "your boss?" Poolcheck is doing a small work out. Then he looks at Dipper with a stern look, which made Dipper flinch, but he hesitantly goes towards Poolcheck. (Y/n) smiles and Wendy says "okay, back to where we were talking about, (Y/n)" (Y/n) flinched.

Before (Y/n) could question what Wendy meant, Wendy continued "what do you feel when you're around Dipper?" (Y/n) started to think. "Well, he's my best friend, so I get gradually happy" "go more into detail" Wendy motions for (Y/n) to continue. (Y/n) tries to find words "well, he's not like some of the other dudes I've met, and it's fun seeing him get all flustered. It's weird, he only does it around me... it's actually kind of cute, and we go on a bunch of adventures together. Which are totally fun, but we've had our normal nights that didn't end in a adventure."

Wendy then says "do you realize what you just said, dude??" (Y/n) looks at Wendy confused "what?" Wendy facepalms at (Y/n)'s obliviousness. "You said that Dipper's cute when he's flustered, and you realized he's only like that around you." (Y/n) blinked saying "I did??" The girl be so oblivious that she doesn't even remember what she said. Wendy facepalms as she noticed Grunkle Stan about to break one of the rules, so Stan is now in Pool Jail. (Y/n) chuckled at the sight, but Dipper runs over to (Y/n)'s chair saying "hey, (Y/n)! I got the job."

(Y/n) smiles big and goes down to Dipper saying "sweet! Wanna go abuse our power?" Dipper then says "but what if Poolcheck catches us? He seems emotionally unstable." Wendy got to the two saying "naw man, you just gotta be sneaky about your rule breaking. Race you to the 'no running' sign!" The three laugh as they start running, Wendy actually won. (Y/n) came in second as they turn to see that Dipper was walking while nervously looking down.

-Into the Bunker-

Dipper and (Y/n) were just watching a cringe-y scary movie as they ate popcorn in her room, which means it's the first time Dipper's at her house. "What do we do Chadely, I thought they were dead!" The girl in the movie cries out "'scared.'" Chadely then says "far worse, Trixandra! They're.. nearly almost dead but not quite!" (Y/n) rolled her eyes. Dipper then says "man, these movies are way less scary when you've fought real zombies." (Y/n) chuckles saying "true, plus - they're slow! Just powerwalk away from them!!" Dipper then smirks.

Elbowing (Y/n) slightly he says "how much you wanna bet that guy dies first?" Right after that Chadely then actually dies first. "AhH! My face is being eaten a lot!!" Chadely yells, so the two laugh as (Y/n) wanted to say a joke. "Chadely ain't pretty no more!" (Y/n) says and gets a text, so she groans saying "oh my glob. Adam keeps texting and calling me, ignore!" Dipper nervously laughed at the mention of him. "Oh yeah, Adam.. how's all that goin?" Dipper asks and takes a handful of popcorn, so (y/n) shakes her head.

"Ugh, I ended that friendship a long time ago, I just wish he'd take the hint! Just look at this text - ';(' what does that even mean?" (Y/n) asks confused. Dipper was a bit nervous to ask this question "and you're not-" then he cleared his throat while looking away. "Not, like, seeing any other guys?" Dipper finally asks out, not looking (Y/n) in the eyes yet. (Y/n) then looks at Dipper seriously saying "I don't think I ever seen a guy... until now, meet my new boyfriend." Then (Y/n) pulled the duck/panda close to her as she smiles playfully, Dipper laughs at the joke.

Dipper then says "so, uh.. I was wondering if - maybe you'd wanted to, I mean if-if you and me would ever" (Y/n) was curious for the question. "If maybe youu..." Dipper trailed off as he seen the cute curious tilt of (Y/n)'s head, so he felt himself choke last second. "Thought we should invite Wendy on our next Mystery hunt tomorrow? Conspiracy stuff and all that. That's all" Dipper said while looking down, so (Y/n) smiles and says "dude, that sounds fuun. I love doing junk with friends-" then she looks back at the movie and noticed the scene.

(Y/n) then yells "yo, Chadely watch out!" Then the movie did a high pitched scream, so (Y/n) laughs as Dipper says "yep, cause that's what we are." Then Dipper pulls out his piece of paper that was him trying to think of a way to confess to (Y/n). With his failed attempt he crumbles up the paper and puts it inside of his vest before laying back. "Friends..." Dipper trails off while looking at the ceiling, (Y/n) noticed Dippers sad tone. When she looked back though she noticed something that made her blush as she hides her face.

"Dude, you're laying on my bra-" (Y/n) got interrupted with Dippers scream, yet it took him a second to move, so (Y/n) stuffs it under her pillow. The two continued to watch the movie, pretending that Dipper didn't say stuff under his breath and that he touched her bra. The next day is when they finally got to go into the forest, ready to go on another mystery/adventure. Dipper tapped his pen against his lantern saying "thank you all for coming" and in front of him is (Y/n), Mabel and Soos. "Hey, when there's a mystery - you can count on your sister...y" Mabel says while pointing up.

That got (Y/n) and Soos wanting to try that "ya already know that I'm a dependable friend, once I start something - I stay for the end!" (Y/n) says happily. Soos chuckles saying "that was an amazing rhyme, when you want a good-.. w-when you need a Soos-" he got nothing. (Y/n) wanted to help him, so she started thinking on what Soos could be saying for himself. "You know you'll never lose, when you got your good friend Soos!" (Y/n) says happily and elbowed Soos slightly. Soos gasps happily and hugs (Y/n) tight, so she laughs a little and pats Soos' shoulder since she can't hug back.
