KINGSLEY PRODUCTS INC. LABORTORIES

In the early afternoon, lab workers were going about their business as usual when suddenly one of the walls were blown open. Two figures in dark clothes came bursting in throwing smoke grenades so everyone couldn't see. One of intruders was large, with a big chest and muscles, but very dainty hands and feet. The other intruder was shorter, more compact and seemed to hunch over; much like an older man would. Amongst the panic of the lab workers, the larger intruder threw a man in a suit to the ground. He grunted and shook as he hit the ground. The intruder lifted him back up, very menacingly, as the shorter intruder demanded the man show them where the files of failed compounds were. He spoke in a low voice that sounded very gentle but threatening as well. "If you don't take us to it, this entire facility will be flattened." He revealed to the terrified man a remote with a blinking red light, with the intruder's thumb hovering over it. The man didn't want to know what flattening the facility looked like, so he agreed to show the two intruders what they were asking for.

They traveled through offices and corridors with many people fleeing. They continued to ignite smoke grenades to keep their activity obscured. Finally, they came upon a door at the end of a long hallway with a beg sign over it that said "archives." They made the man in the suit open it. "Hurry now!" the shorter intruder demanded him. The door was finally unlocked, and the shorter intruder entered to find a line of filing cabinets along the wall.

Outside the facility, the crowds that had been sent away from the break-in were running to where they could hopefully be safe. High on a tall light post sat the red and blue cladded Spider-Man, watching the panic below him. "Someone wore the wrong cologne this morning" he joked, before swinging to where the wall had been blasted through.

DAILY BUGLE BUILDING

"WRONG!" That was the word that was fired back at our favorite teenage super sleuths when they told Jameson their problems with the exclusive about them. "Excuse me?" Kim asked the hot-headed publisher.

"You kids are just a bunch of amateurs. Adventure seekers thinking that your good deeds and the kindness of others will get you places. Well, let me be the one to tell you two that the world will not be that kind to you. Now I'm going to give you point nine seconds to leave my office before I print a follow up. Maybe this time about how privileged college kids like you don't understand the freedom of press."

Kim and Ron, with appalled expressions, turned out of his office, sneering at how loud and rude Jameson was to them. "He has no right to do this to us" Kim said once they were on the other side of the door. "Right! I mean, it's just wrong to slander us like that" Ron replied. "It's libel in this situation, Ron" she corrected him, "still, it's wrong."

"He still printed the truth about your adventures" Betty said from her desk, listening in on their conversation. The pair turned to her, interested to hear her thoughts. "True, but isn't it wrong to assume things or connect certain elements of our story to something unrelated to us just to make a story?" Kim asked.

"People in the media have always been that way. Whenever they smell a larger story brewing or can create commentary out of it and get people to discuss it, they will write anything that may not be completely be the truth" Ms. Brant explained. "The only thing they can't control is the minds and opinions of the readers. They can only inform and hope that their words can sway them in the direction they wish for them to think."

"Is there a point to this Ms. Brant?"

"All I'm saying is that you have fans all around the world" she said. "This exclusive will only reach those that live in the New York area. Given that our population makes up only one percent of the country's population, I wouldn't worry all that much. And speaking as someone that grew up reading about your missions, I know that you two are in the right place."
