"Her heart was telling her to trust him, but it wouldn't be the first time that that foolish muscle, there in the middle of her chest, had betrayed her."
― Mirella Muffarotto

I woke up to the sound of snoring and reached for my phone on the floor. It was already 11 am. I yawned and stretched my body before sitting up and looking around the room.

I smile at the sight of all three girls still passed out and snoring loudly. My throat is dry and I'm dying for some water so I quietly enter Summer's closet and find a pair of sweats to slip on. When I'm dressed I leave the bedroom and make my way down the stairs. I can hear voices coming from the kitchen as I descend the stairs and I'm aware of the fact that I'm currently braless. I look down and since it's such an oversized shirt I'm pretty sure no one will notice, especially since I have like next to no boobs. I turn the corner to find Decker and Scott-shirtless-sitting at the kitchen table eating breakfast.

"Morning," Decker smiles widely when he sees me.

Scott turns around quickly as his back is facing me and he waves as he continues to chew whatever is in his mouth.

"Morning," I smile running my hands through my hair, certain that I look like a hot mess, and my cheeks are burning with embarrassment.

"You want food?" Scott finally speaks as he swallows.

"Just some water," I say looking around the kitchen, "I'm gonna head home soon."

"Oh, okay, yeah just take whatever you want from the fridge," he says as he shovels more food into his mouth.

I open the large stainless steel refrigerator and grab a water bottle from inside the door. I take a seat at the table next to Decker and open my water. My mouth feels pretty gross which is probably due to the fact that I haven't brushed my teeth.

"Did you sleep good?" Decker asks pushing his empty plate to the side and turning to face me.

"Yeah, I knocked out as soon as we got inside," I say, "How bout you guys?"

"Yeah we both knocked out pretty quickly too," Decker says and Scott nods in agreement.

I can really see all his muscles now that he is shirtless. But I try to focus my eyes on anything else so that he doesn't catch me staring at him again.

"Are the rest of them still asleep?" Scott asks as he picks up a glass of orange juice to drink.

I nod chuckling to myself at how deeply they were asleep.

"I think at least one of them is going to have a killer hangover," I say as I put my water bottle to my lips.

"Let me guess--Amy?" Scotts says shaking his head, "I swear she never learns to slow down. I freaking tell her every time and she ends up puking by the end of the night. At least Summer doesn't get that drunk so I don't have to worry about my sister and my girlfriend."

I guess Decker was right when he said last night that she always gets wasted.

"Are all the parties around here like that? I mean, where the parents provide all the alcohol?" I ask looking between them both.

"Pretty much," Decker says as he looks at Scott for agreement.

"Wow," I mumble.

"I take it you don't party much?" Scott says as he leans his elbows on the table.

"What makes you say that?" I ask squinting my eyes slightly as I wonder what he's getting at.

"Well you ended up asleep in the car by like 11," he chuckles.
