"Y/n?" My moms voice woke me up

I tried my best to try and hurry and get out of bed

"Yea?" I asked from the top of the stairs

"Me, dad, Rose, Joe, and cookie are gonna go to the place to sign the papers" she said

"Okay" I said as Billie appeared behind me

"We can watch Rose if you want" I said looking at Billie who nodded her head eagerly

"And Joe" she added with a smile

"Oh no. We couldn't ask you to do that" my mom said

"Good thing you're not asking" I said

"Yea, we're offering" Billie said

"Are you girls sure?" My mom asked

"Yea, Joe and Rose are still sleeping. Why wake them up for something that's gonna take an hour at max" I said

"What's going on?" My dad asked

"Billie and y/n said that they'll watch the kids" my mom told him

"You don't have to" he said

"We want to" Billie said

"Are you sure?" My dad asked

We both nodded our heads

"Okay, well I'm sure you girls know how to make a bottle and change a diaper" my dad said

"We do" I smiled

"Okay, we'll be back soon" my mom said picking cookie up

We both nodded our heads and watched as they walked out of the front door and to the car

"Where's mommy and daddy?" Joe asked

"They're signing papers so cookie can officially be ours" I said

He nodded with a big smile on his face

Mom and dad went to sign the papers at the place Billie and I got the puppies, so that way we can officially call cookie a y/l/n. Billie and I volunteered to watched Joe and Rose so they wouldn't have to lug car seats all over

"What did I do? Never been the type to... let someone see right through mmm" I heard Billie gently singing

I look up and see her holding Rose in her arms, swaying from side to side while singing 'I Love You'

"Maybe won't you take it back? Say you we tryna make me laugh. And nothing has to chance today, you didn't mean to say I love you. I love you and I want to mmm" she sang, changing the lyrics a little

I whipped out my phone to capture this cute moment. Rose was holding on to Billies finger with her little hand as Billie sang.

I continued to watch as Billie sang to my little sister like she was everything in the entire world. Once Billie finished singing, she looked at me

"She fell asleep" she whispered

All I could do was smile like an idiot.

"What?" She asked

"That was really cute" I said

Billie gave me a warm smile as she continued to sway from side to side.  

"If you want, you can put her in her swing" I said

"It's okay, I don't mind holding her a little longer" Billie said

I nodded my head with a smile. After about five minutes, the front door started to unlock and my parents came in

"Well?" Joe whispered

"Why are you whispering?" My dad whispered back

"Because Billie just sang Rose to sleep. I don't wanna wake her up silly" Joe said in an obvious tone

"Right, my bad" my dad laughed

"Well?" Joe asked again

"Cookie is ours" my mom smiled holding up the adopting papers

"Give me him" Joe said taking cookie from my dads arms

"Welcome to the family cookie" my mom petted his head from Joes arms

"Welcome to the family" Joe kissed the top of his head
