plot change: niall is a junior instead of a senior, louis is a sophomore instead of a junior and harry is still a freshman. ages are still the same. had to make that small change tho because that's how it was supposed to be in the beginning but i messed up the grades. all of them are supposed to move up a grade sometime in the story, so yeah. anyways, that's all. enjoy xx

a few weeks have passed as it's becoming closer and closer to the end of the school year. summer is nearing and soon the boys will be on summer break. they were all stoked to finally get out of school, especially niall who would be starting his fourth and final year of high school and he was soon going to be turning eighteen. he was definitely going to throw a party of a lifetime once his birthday came around, right here at home—maybe even the biggest party a teenager could dream of because he could and he had the resources.

anyways, as the end of the school year was nearing, the boys have been buried in more homework, pop quizzes and tests, preparing them for the final exams. niall's also had a few games, but next week was internationals, the last game for the year that he was preparing for. after school practices as well as school work have been kicking his ass lately, but manages to keep up by the skin of his teeth.

aside from that, nothing has really changed over the last couple weeks. however, niall has noticed that his friend mitch has been slowly cozying up to harry. he's not exactly sure whether that's a good thing or not, or if he had made a good decision by trying to match make them. he's been friends with mitch since they had joined the soccer team together, and he seemed like a really good guy.

unlike most of his teammates, mitch was actually respectable and didn't tend to objectify woman, or come off as a player, and he was very open minded, not to mention he was pretty chill and nice. and if niall was going to 'hook' his little brother up with anyone, he was the ideal guy. besides, harry likes him and niall can remember the times when he was harry's age when he really started trying out dating. it wasn't so bad, yeah break ups suck, but that's just apart of it and sooner or later harry will learn that—it was apart of growing up.

no, niall didn't want harry to get hurt, but he wasn't his dad, he wasn't going to shield harry like he was a baby. some things he just has to learn and figure out on his own. of course, he'd protect harry and take care of him, because that's what the brothers do for one another. but he understands harry is at the age where he's starting to become curious about more mature things. he always sees that longing curious look in harry's eyes that makes him wonder what was going on in his head. he kinda feels bad for him because of their worry ward dad, harry is practically living inside of a bubble.

but hey, if mitch and harry ended up dating somehow, niall wouldn't be mad at it. although, he doesn't mind the thought of having to beat mitch up if he hurt him in any way. anyways, he noticed the two of them getting closer and becoming a lot more friendly with one another. harry hasn't said anything, but niall thinks that maybe something may be or might soon be going on between them.

who knows.

currently, niall was sitting in his room on a wednesday afternoon, procrastinating on doing his homework. everyone aside from zayn was home, and he was sitting on his bed playing on the game that was hooked up in his room. a pillow is smooshed in between his back and the headboard of his bed as he focused on the game of last of us 2, currently fighting off a couple of clickers that were coming at him. a couple swear words falling from his mouth when he almost lost control and died.
