for this idea. it's not completely identical, but had to change things in order to make it fit with how i want the story to go. <3

louis has his girlfriend eleanor over today. his punishment was finally over and he got to invite her to spend the day with her at the house. it's been a little over a month-which really felt like years-since he'd been able to have her or any friends over. with his phone being taken away too, he hadn't even been able to talk to her or be on social media.

he did try to get niall or harry to let him borrow their phones and sneak a text or a phone call in, but niall claimed to still be 'mad' at him for getting in trouble for him, and harry was just being the brat that he always was. thankfully, all of that is done with and he got to have his freedom back. it was summer time now and he wanted to have fun as much as he could. he'd already spent like three weeks of his summer grounded, which sucked big balls.

the couple were on his bed, cuddling while a movie played on the tv. louis was hardly paying attention to the movie, while eleanor had her eyes practically glued to the screen. the blue eyed male was trying to figure out what her deal was. she had been acting strange since she arrived here earlier; seeming quiet than usual and having this nervous look in her eyes.

not only that but, she kept looking over her shoulder like someone was watching or listening to her. she was acting completely paranoid and it was driving louis crazy! her paranoia was rubbing off on him, and he kept trying to ask her what was wrong, but she kept brushing it off and saying she was fine. louis definitely knew something was up and she was not fine.

eleanor hadn't said a word during the movie, also unusual, most of the time she couldn't keep her mouth shut, always making side comments on just about every scene, but now she's as quiet as a mouse. louis couldn't possibly relax when his girlfriend was acting so strange. close to the end of the movie, louis takes the remote and pauses the movie, prompting eleanor to sit up and look at him.

"wha- lou, the movie was almost over, why'd you stop it?" she asks. louis sits up himself, and combs his fingers through his hair.

"are you gonna quit pretending and tell me what's your deal?" he says. eleanor's eyes quickly shift to the side before looking back at him again.

"what do you mean?"

"don't play dumb, you've been acting weird all day and i can't stand it." louis says. eleanor bites her lip, looking even more nervous than before. louis raises an eyebrow. "seriously, what's your deal?"

"i just...ran into a complication." she replies, twiddling her fingers. louis tilts his head slightly.

"complication?" he asks. she nods, chewing on her bottom lip nervously. he watches her fidget and her eyes shift around. louis sighs, moving closer to her and grabbing both her hands. louis not the one for expressing his feelings and emotions, or having deep meaningful conversations, but she was clearly struggling with something. the least he could do is give her some encouragement. "you can tell me."

"i just don't want you to hate me, or...leave me." she murmurs. louis frowns in confusion.

"why would i leave you?" louis getting very confused now and suspicious. what could she possibly be talking about? was it really as bad as she's making it seem? eleanor exhales deeply, meeting his eyes again. there's a hint of fear in them.

"louis... my period is late." she murmurs. louis gives her a weird look, feeling awkward talking about such a feminine topic..

"uhh, okay? what's that supposed mean?" he asks. eleanor groans rolling her eyes, and squeezes his hands slightly.
