harry was afraid to go to school. he knows that his bullies are being taken care of and most likely will be expelled, but he was still scared. his brothers were suspended which meant he would have to go alone and he didn't want to do that. luckily for him, his daddies didn't want to put him through that and let him stay home from school along with his brothers until their suspension was up. it didn't take much convincing anyways, zayn was already planning to keep harry out of school for a couple days anyway to give him some time to recover.

he already knew harry would most likely be wary about attending school after what he's had to put up with, he couldn't imagine making him go to school after that. he saw how scared and sad harry was, and it broke his heart. he wishes he could've been there to shield harry from all those horrible boys. thankfully, they were caught before it got too bad and they were punished. albeit, zayn wished he could have a go at them because no one messes with his little harry. the sweetest boy you'll ever meet—he may be a bit biased that's exactly what harry was.

the whole family was home together today. when everyone got up, liam had breakfast cooked and ready for them. and after eating, and chatting with one another for a bit, pretty much everyone went to go and do their own thing, like any other normal day would go. harry, of course went wherever zayn went, and cuddled right up to him like a little bear. zayn didn't mind it at all, he was always accepting of harry's affection and it wasn't like he turn the adorable boy away.

the two snuggled on the sofa together, watching some show that harry liked—it was an anime, something zayn didn't really approve of harry watching because of some of the mature content, but he knows how much harry likes it, so he lets him anyway. besides, harry was at the age now where he knew about most of stuff zayn wishes he didn't know about yet.

soon, liam had left to go run some errands, forcing niall to come with him to help him. he kisses zayn and harry bye before he walks out of the house, telling them they'd be back soon, and will bring dinner back home. louis stayed up in his room for most of the day, most likely texting his girlfriend while she was at school without him. zayn and harry continued on with watching some anime called ouran high school host club. zayn thought it was weird, but harry was into it.

every now and then, zayn would glance at the bruising on harry's face, located around his cheek and under his eye. every time he did, he would get angry and clench his fist slightly. he was still mad about what happened to him, and he wanted nothing more than to find all three of them boys and teach them how it feels to pick on someone who's smaller than them.

he hates that he wasn't able to prevent this, but he wasn't psychic and he could never tell when something bad was going to happen. all he could do was protect his family as much as he could, when he could. zayn ends up getting pulled from his thoughts when he hears their door bell ring. he frowns, wondering who would be visiting the mâlik home. he hadn't been expecting anyone, and usually people don't just show up without letting him know first.

"who's that baba?" harry asks sitting up slightly from where he was snuggled against zayn's chest. zayn shrugs.

"i don't know baby, but i'll go see." zayn picks harry up and lifts him off his lap, causing harry to pout. zayn chuckles, ruffling his hair as he gets up to go answer the door. "who is it?"
