the boys were doing whatever they did during a normal day at home. louis not doing much in his room, considering that he's still grounded for that reckless party he threw and had just about all of his electronics taken away. harry, however had been more recently asking for niall to teach him to play the guitar, so, being the amazing big brother that he is. niall took the time out to show harry how to do it. but only a couple times a week when he had the energy to do so, and that's what they were doing at the given moment.

liam had just finish cleaning up and organizing the major parts of the house. now that he's done, he joins zayn on the couch, where's he's just chilling and watching tv. luckily, he didn't have to be at work, but there are an abundance of dates coming up where he was going to start getting busy. with that in mind, they were going to plan a smooth vacation that could accommodate zayn's busy schedule that is already set for the summer.

the older man wraps an arm around his husband once he's seated, kissing him briefly. they both get comfortable with one another on the sofa. zayn grabs the remote, turning down the volume slightly before sitting the remote back down, caressing liam's hip gently. the brown haired man smiles softly, resting his head on the older man's shoulder. the first few minutes are silent, up until zayn breaks it to speak first. he pats liam's side gently to get his attention.

"have you thought about what we're going to do this summer? i know we haven't had much time to talk about it what with me being away half he time." zayn states. liam hums, sitting up slightly.

"oh yeah, i was thinking we could go to mackinac island. i've been researching it, and it's such a beautiful place. i think we should give it a visit this year." liam tells him, smiling softly. zayn raises an eyebrow.

"mackinac island? what's that?" he asks. liam chuckles lightly.

"it's a place in michigan. it's so gorgeous there zee. the hotels are stunning, there's plenty of activities to do there, like going on carriage rides, biking, and there's even a history museum." liam states, grinning. zayn chuckles softly, rubbing a hand against his beard—that has steadily growing back—as he shakes his head slightly. liam raises an eyebrow.

"babe, you really think the boys would enjoy carriage rides?"

"yeah, why wouldn't they?" liam asks, in confusion.

"they're teenagers, i think they'd like something a little more fun, i don't know, like maybe an amusement park, or water park, or something with tons of wild adventures." zayn tells him. liam shrugs slightly.

"we do all of those things all the time, i wanted to try something more authentic this time. we hardly ever do things like this, it'll be a breath of fresh air." liam tells him. it was true, they did always spend ninety percent of their vacations at amusement parks, or beaches and lakes. this would be a change pace from what they are used to, which is what liam wants. besides, there's always room to go to a simple amusement park at anytime, why not try something new for a change? zayn shrugs however, unsure of it.

"i know babe, i just don't want them complaining about half their summer being wasted." zayn states truthfully. liam frowns, crossing his arms.

"why would their summer be wasted? they would still have fun. just because there won't be any thrill rides, doesn't mean it won't still be enjoyable." liam tells him. zayn sighs heavily.

"okay, how about this, why don't we ask the boys what they want?" zayn asks. liam rolls his eyes in annoyance, telling zayn to just go ahead. he already knew exactly how this would end up like. zayn calls the boys down to the living room. it takes them a while to all get there, but once they are, they all three crowd around the couch, looking at both their parents.
