they find niall in a matter of minutes, which thankfully his friend's house wasn't too far away. the eldest teen was sitting on the porch with his fists balled up gripping at his own hair, rocking back and forth. both of them rushed over to check the frantic boy out to make sure he wasn't in any immediate danger. niall is then hauled into the car and they rush him to the hospital to get him checked out further to make certain that he'd be okay and he'd receive any treatment he may or may not need.

after hours of sitting in the emergency room, everything started to become more clear as to what was really going on. turns out, niall was mainly just having a panic attack rather than a bad reaction to the pills he took. the doctor had decided instead of doing an unnecessary stomach pump, to simply monitor niall for the next few hours to make sure he'd be okay, and let the drug run its course. liam was there coddling the teen, all worrisome and stressed to all hell. he had been sick thinking of the worst possible thing happening to niall. had zayn not calmed the man down and reassured him their boy would be fine, they would've had to seek medical attention for him too.

meanwhile, zayn's initial shock and fear had faded, and now he's just seething as he sat in a very cold and uncomfortable chair across the room from the bed niall is currently situated on.

the man really didn't want to lash out on the boy after experiencing what he just had, but niall definitely wasn't off the hook at all, despite his position. zayn couldn't believe of all people, niall would make such a stupid decision. louis maybe, or even harry who's naive and curious of a lot of things, but niall? the most levelheaded out of the three of them. to take such a risk and subject his body to that, was what really shocked zayn. he would've never expected him to do anything of the sort.

zayn is livid, not only towards niall, but towards whoever had access to the drugs and decided to get niall involved. seriously, at this point zayn is going to start requiring interviews for anybody who want to be friends with or date his kids. because it seems that they have the shittiest luck when it comes to choosing friends and partners. first it was niall's disgusting friend tr*vis, then louis' trashy girlfriend and supposedly best friend who both stabbed him in the back in the worst way possible, and now this. when will it end? will harry be next in the line up? what kind of kids are people raising these days?

zayn doesn't wanna think about that. what he wants to do is figure what the fuck niall was thinking when he opened that mouth of his to agree to whoever offered that shit to him. everything may have turned out okay, but god forbid if it had been something far worst than just a seemingly harmless party enhancer. liam was scared half to death when he saw the state niall was in, thinking the absolute worst. even though niall is stable now, the man is shaken and in full blown mom mode, hovering over the teen like something would happen to him if he looked away for even a second.

zayn had to make a call home to tell louis they wouldn't be home until later tonight, and sent he and harry some money to order food for dinner or whatever else they may require until they returned home. honestly, zayn didn't even know if they'd be home tonight or late in the morning. it all depends on how niall's body reacts to that pill and how long it takes for the effects to wear off. the boy was high out his mind, could barely keep his damn eyes open.

zayn clenches his jaw in annoyance. he feels bad for his son, he really does, however, he is deeply disappointed as well. zayn is more than certain peer pressure was the cause of this, yet niall never gave a fuck about that, he was never a crowd follower and always did what he wanted no matter what anybody thought about it. so it was strange situation, perhaps everyone falls victim to it once or twice in their life. although, it doesn't accuse his poor decision and unfortunately, he's still gonna have to be punished for this once he recovers.
