when liam and zayn received a phone call from the boys' school mentioning something about a fight, they didn't waste time in coming down to their school. normally, when the school calls it's about louis, he tended to get into a lot of trouble at school, so when they heard both he and niall were involved, it strikes them as unusual. the principal didn't go into full detail, he had just told them it was a fight and that they needed to come to the school to pick the boys up, as well as have a talk about what was going to happen as a result.

meanwhile, the boys waited in the office for them to arrive. the principal didn't want to keep them waiting for too long once they got here, because students would probably go crazy with a famous person being present at their school, so he decided to talk to the malik family first. everyone else was waiting outside the office with their parents waiting for their time to come in.

about fifteen minutes after they were contacted did they finally arrive at the school, and made their way into the principal's office. when they walked in there, they had expected only to see niall and louis, but instead they came face to face with all three of them sitting side by side, harry seated in between the others. what they didn't expect was to see bruising all over harry's face and how upset he looks with dried tears on his cheeks. they weren't aware harry was also involved in the fighting.

harry's head in rested against niall's shoulder, all three of the boys look up when their dads enter the room. harry is the first to get up and bolt over to zayn, jumping into his arms and sobbing happily against his neck. zayn is quick to catch him, wrapping his arms around him. his eyes are bewildered, wondering what was really going on.

"haz, baby, what happened to you?" zayn asks, frowning deeply at the bruises. harry, alongside niall and louis all started to try and speak at once, trying to explain what was going on. zayn could barely keep up with everyone talking at once, the only word he could pick up on was 'bully''. zayn's blood boils at the thought of someone bullying harry. they really needed to get to the bottom of this right now, he was getting antsy.

"boys please! i need to speak with your fathers." the principal, mr.prieve called over the boys' yelling. everyone settles down after a while, and they are finally able to find out what's going on.

"what is going on? i was told my boys were fighting, what's this about?" liam asks. mr.prieve nods.

"yes, they were fighting. staff had to pull your boys off of two other students, one was sent to the nurses office." he says. liam's eyes widened in horror. the last thing he wanted was for his kids to resort to violence.

"what? is that true?" liam asks, looking at niall and louis.

"yes, but i was only doing it to defend harry. those guys have been bullying him, and beating him up!" niall exclaims.

"what?" zayn asks through clenched teeth.

"it's true, i saw harry's face all bruised up and he told me what they've been doing." niall tells them.

"baby, why didn't you tell anybody?" zayn asks, stroking harry's hair. harry pouts softly, his eyes watering.

"i-i'm sorry."

"shh, it's okay, don't cry." zayn comforts him, kissing his forehead. he glares at the principal however, becoming infuriated. "why is it that my boys are being blamed for this and not those bullies?" he hisses.
