Before the others could process the news, Professor Harrow had already wheeled Katie's transportation device out.
"When I unlock it, I am going to explain to her what the plan is.
Then we can all say our goodbyes."

"B-But where will she go?", asked Yukishiro.

"She'll be with Professor Duran.
She agreed to take her off our hands", he replied.

Yukishiro frowned. Bennett nudged the boy.
"Professor Duran is cool. She'll be fine."

Bennett thought his attempt at consoling him was pitiful, but Yukishiro smiled gratefully.

Professor Harrow pressed the button. Katie's eyes flew open.
"How can I be of assistance?"

Professor Harrow gulped, suddenly aware of what they were doing.
He sighed.
"Katie.
I'm afraid we are... compromised.
It's no longer say to keep you here. We need to send you away.
Do you understand?"

Katie stared at Professor Harrow, her face emotionless.
"Where will I be going?"

"To stay with Professor Duran."

"By going, will it keep the AI club out of danger?"

Silas felt his heart break a little at her selfless she was being.
And she didn't even know it!

Professor Harrow nodded.
"Yes."

Katie nodded.
"Then you must take me immediately."

Professor Harrow's eyes widened. "Y-You're not upset?"

"Professor Harrow, I am not able to feel negative emotions.
Remember?"

"Oh. Y-Yes, I remember."

"We want to say bye to you", said Silas, his voice a little shaky.

Katie nodded.
"Goodbye Mr. Silas. Goodbye Miss Azlan. Goodbye Miss Quinn. Goodbye Miss Maya. Goodbye Mr. Bennett. Goodbye Mr. Yukishiro. Goodbye Professor Harrow."

Katie then stepped back on to her transportation device and pressed the button, her eyes closing a couple of seconds later.

Everyone looked at each other.

"What the h*ll just happened?", asked Quinn.

Professor Harrow rushed over to his computer, just as eager for answers as the rest of them were.
"Uh, um... oh! She's left a message."

"I've said this once and I'll say it again.
Dámn, she smart", said Quinn.

Everyone gathered around the computer to read the message.

THANK YOU ALL FOR BRINGING ME INTO THIS WORLD. I DO NOT WISH TO SAY GOODBYE, AS I AM AFRAID MY PROGRAMMING COULD NOT HANDLE IT.
I HOPE I SERVED MY PURPOSE.

"I hope I served my purpose?", questioned Quinn.

"She did.
She protected us until the very end", said Bennett.
