Early in the morning, Professor Harrow opened the door to his classroom. His pearly white teeth shone as he approached the storage room, typing in the code to the door with enthusiasm.
"Morning, K3- ah!"

Professor Harrow's eyes almost popped out of their sockets when he stared at the empty transportation device. "No, no no... no!"

"Is there a problem, Professor Harrow?", questioned a booming voice.

Professor Harrow quickly, though rather clumsily, closed the door, positive that the storage room remained hidden. "S-Sorry? N-No, no Chairman Everett."

The man chuckled, though there was a mocking undertone to it. "Please, Mr. Harrow. How many times must I say it? Call me Phillip."

Phillip Everett was on the Board of Education, and has a lot of power over certain rules and practises. His authoritative presence meant that anyone who went against him would most likely be out of a job the next week.

Professor Harrow nodded. "Y-Yes, sorry. Um, wh-what can I help you with?"

Mr. Everett shook his head. "Nothing. Just wanted to check in."

Professor Harrow nodded. "Oh. Thank you."

Mr. Everett nodded, a small smile on his face. His eyes were dark and dismissive, contradicting the smile on his face. Without saying a word, he turned around and left.
