Chapter 40- Zero (Part 1)

"So you're telling me you ate a whole wheel of cheese?", questioned Silas.

Bennett nodded.
"I couldn't lose the bet", he replied.

Yukishiro shrugged.
"I don't know.
I think magenta high heels would suit you."

Quinn chuckled.
She reached for the bag of fries in Maya's hand, smiling mischievously when she swiped them from her grasp.
"Hey!", exclaimed Maya.

Azlan and Silas' eyes lit up as they looked at each other.
"Swiper no swiping!", they yelled in unison.

Everyone's eyes widened.

"What the héll was that?", asked Bennett.

Azlan laughed.
"It's just something we do whenever someone steals something."

Silas nodded.
"It started when I saw Azlan watching some Dora the Explorer clips on her phone years ago.
She had the exact same haircut as Dora."

"It stuck ever since", said Azlan.

The others just stared at the pair, completely dumbfounded.

"Whatever floats your boat, I guess", said Bennett.

"Ok but real talk, the Map was an icon", said Quinn.

Azlan cheered in agreement, whilst Maya nodded and raised her hand in the air.

"Mmm, I think not", said Yukishiro. "Boots will forever be the best character in that show."

"Over my dead body", said Quinn.

"Then select your headstone dude cos Boots is the best", said Bennett.

The room fell silent for a minute. Everyone witnessed history as this was the first time Bennett truly let his guard down and allowed himself to be himself.

Yukishiro cheered as Silas patted his back, both agreeing with Bennett. Maya smiled at the sight of a grinning Bennett.

She was really proud of him.

"Who's whole base idea of friendship came from the friendship between Dora and Boots?", asked Professor Harrow.

The silence returned as the perplexed teens looked at their teacher.

Professor Harrow shrugged.
"My niece loves Dora."

Before the others could question him further, a rather annoying buzzing sound came from his computer.

Professor Harrow's eyes widened and he rushed to it. Whilst he frantically tapped away, the others put the fries away.

"That's the alarm that tells us if Katie's ok, isn't it?", asked Silas.
"What's wrong?"

Professor Harrow gulped.
"She's been tampered with."

No one really knew what the plan was. Not even Professor Harrow. They were all in agreement about a few things though:

One. They needed to go to Phillip's and see if he has a location for his lab.
