The Evil Within

"Hey, Jackie, I never got to ask you. Why did Chase want you?" Kimiko questioned as she paints cats onto her pink nails.

Right now, her and Jackie are spending their day having some girl time in the Gothic Monk's room.

Jackie sighed as she puts down her nail polish.

"He wanted me to become his consort." She answered bluntly.

Kimiko blinks in confusion and looks at her best friend with a raised eyebrow. "A consort? What? Is that like a companion or something?" she questioned.

"Close enough. It's another word for a spouse, aka he wanted me to become his wife." Jackie explained.

Kimiko's jaw dropped to the floor, "His wife?!"

Jackie hums in confirmation as she goes back to her nails.

"Why?"

"He find's me interesting. But he mainly likes the fact that I'm apparently more callous than my Celestial Dragon brethren. Not to mention my refusal to bend fully to the Xiaolin ways since I'm completely okay with the fact that I will be just as feared and respected as my mom when I inherit the company."

"Wow...wait, if he knows all that does that mean he's the one that has been stalking you?" Kimiko questioned.

"Yep." Jackie confirmed.

"Yikes...well, at least he was handsome...in his human form that is." Kimiko stated.

"Kim!?" Jackie said in shock.

The Dragon of Fire shrugs her shoulders, "What? You have to admit that Chase is extremely hot. I mean, it wouldn't surprise me if he was on a cover of a magazine and was labeled as the champion for the title of being the sexiest man alive."

"It's too bad that he's evil though." She then added.

Jackie groaned in annoyance as she puts her nail polish down again and pinches the bridge of her nose.

"Unfortunately...that's actually a thing. Against popular belief, the evil community do partake in modern day aspects like social media for example. And as a result, they do have things like magazines dedicated to evil. And Chase has been the face of the magazine known as the Evil Warlord monthly for years."

"Both for his good looks and evil deeds."

Kimiko blinks in bewilderment and raised an eyebrow at her friend as she tried to comprehend how she could possible know that about the magazine's existence. mainly, since the Dragon of Fire knows the name of every magazine there is in the world.

And not once has she ever heard of the Evil Warlord Monthly. "How do you know that?" she questioned.

"Angelynn. After the whole Lao Mang Long incident I decided to do some digging on Chase. But while he is noted throughout Chinese history, the information was..." The gothic monk grimaces as she tries to think of a word to use to describe just how disappointed she was.

"Lackluster to say the least. So, I called Angel and of course forced as much information as I could out of her. And the magazine's existence was one of the things she spilled."

"Wow, you learn something new every day." Kimiko muttered.

And with that the girls continued on with their girl time but that was soon interrupted when Raimundo came in and informed them about a Shen Gong Wu called the Mosaic Scale had just activated.

And so, with that, they had to cut their girl time short and got dressed.
