In the room of Jian Qingyou, Mo Qianxue was making fun of her, "Xin Yiming is really a quick-doer. I didn't expect that he made it so soon and smoothly."
"Yes." With one simple word, Jian Qingyou's pride was visible on her face.
It wasn't easy to reach an agreement with the Wan family, which wouldn't have conceded unless some price was paid. In addition, that day grandma only compromised to further think about the marriage but didn't totally agree, let alone to persuade her father and mother. She herself hadn't expected such a quick settlement of the marriage between her and Xin Yiming.
What Jian Qingyou could figure out, Mo Qianxue was also clear. She was really happy for her friend. Xin Yiming was good-looking, talented and resourceful. Jian Qingyou was blessed to marry this guy.
Yet, she still wanted to tease her. Mo Qianxue put on a suggestive smile, "Tell me, did you do anything that day in my restaurant?"
Hearing the question, Jian Qingyou blushed immediately, bashfully twisting her handkerchief, "Qianxue, stop making fun of me."
"Qingyou..." Mo Qianxue was about to tease her more when Siqin came in to report that madam Jian wanted eldest young lady in the reception hall.
Jian Qingyou pulled Mo Qianxue to take her there.
Yet, Mo Qianxue thought that Ning Shaoqing was waiting for her at Tingfengquan, so she said goodbye to Jian Qingyou since the gift was already given to her.
Jian Qingyou didn't insist to detain her longer and ordered Siqin to walk her to the gate.
Siqin and Mo Qianxue walked along a long corridor when a servant girl hurried came over, "Sister Siqin, sister Nongcha said eldest lady needed you over there."
The girl looked familiar to Mo Qianxue. She seemed to be Duoer, a third-level servant girl in Jian Qingyou's courtyard.
Hearing this, Siqin hesitated, "What about Mrs. Ning?"
Duoer smiled, "Sister Nongcha told me to walk Mrs. Ning to the door."
Siqin looked at Duoer and then at Mo Qianxue.
Seeing Siqin's dilemma, Mo Qianxue persuaded her, "You can leave now. Just let Duoer do it for you."
Mo Qianxue thought that on such a big day when everyone was so busy, there must be something urgent that suddenly Siqin was needed.
Since she knew this girl, there was nothing for her to worry about. Besides, she knew how to get to the door herself. It wouldn't be difficult.
Siqin hesiatated for a while, then she apologized to Mo Qianxue and left in a hurry.
However, soon after Siqin left, another servant girl rushed out and bumped into Mo Qianxue. The two fell to the ground together.
Mo Qianxue wanted to scold the girl when Duoer instantly slapped her in the face.
The girl also seemed to be frightened and didn't talk back when being slapped. She only held Mo Qianxue up and kept saying sorry.
She made Mo Qianxue felt pitiful towards her and believe that she must be busying with something too. Therefore, Mo Qianxue waved hand and let her go.
Duoer supported her to get up, yet unexpectedly, upon the moment Mo Qianxue stood up, there was a nasty pain in her ankle.
"Mrs. Ning, you must have sprained your ankle. Allow me to hold you to that room and message your ankle. I guess it wouldn't be late if you take a rest."
Mo Qianxue nodded since the girl looked so sincere and there was indeed a house several steps away.
She entered a room and looked around. It seemed to be a study, yet there weren't too many books in the room. Most sub boxes of the bookcase were vacant. Obviously, the owner wasn't a fan of books.
