I felt my legs feel weak once again, the same feeling I felt when I saw him at the ball but just a little bit more because it was so unexpected now. I watched as his eyes travelled from my head to my shoes, scanning my body more than he did the day I met him.

"Ryan, this is my daughter Savanna, Sav, this is Jason's good friend Ryan Butler" My dad spoke up. It was crazy how casually he was introducing Jason's friend to me when all of my attention was on Jason who was still watching me.

"Nice to meet you" I spoke up with a smile, I spoke as clear as I could. Ryan had blue eyes and blonde short hair, he was white and was very masculine like Jason and considering he was here right now with him, it obviously meant they were close friends.

"You too Miss Montano" He replied, with a friendly smile. Okay, he wasn't as intimidating as Jason. Then again, nobody I had met was intimidating as him.

"Come, join us" My dads best friend Tony spoke up, I smiled at him before I sat down in between him and Eric, my dads other best friend. They had known my dad for like, ever, so naturally they were like uncles / father figures to me.

"So, where were we?" My dad continued. I was trying to avoid eye contact with Jason, I knew if I did I wouldn't be able to properly focus but I couldn't not look at him, he just looked so good. He had the pinkest, plumpest lips that always looked so... kissable which sounds crazy to say considering I've known him a day, but as you can tell, I was majorly attracted to him.

"How was your day chicka?" My mom spoke up making me look up and over at her. I was busy messing with my fingers and the hem of my dress, distracting myself from Jason who sat opposite me, watching me at any chance he got.

"It was good-" "You got any boyfriends? What about that one boy you used to have library dates with and all" Maria spoke up, my cheeks turning red instantly. Not only was she saying this in front of my father, but Jason who I'm sure was eager to listen in to this.

"Maria, she is literally a baby, she don't need no boyfriends" Tony exclaimed as he looked at her with annoyance but I knew it was just humour between them, this was normal. "She's 19 years old Tony, the girl has needs!"

She did not just say that.

In the back I heard my mom laugh, stifling it because I could see my dad was getting irritated which made this all funnier. In the midst of all of this, I looked up at Jason who now turned to look at me, a raised eyebrow and a look of amusement to his always serious face. "My baby does not have a boyfriend, right Savanna?" My dad spoke up making us all look over at him.

Poor guy.

"No dad," I paused glancing at Jason to give him a look of amusement before looking back at my dad again. "I don't have a boyfriend" and with that, he let out a sigh of relief and a nod before getting back to his conversation.

As the dinner continued, I felt my phone vibrate, I flipped it over to see it was Liam's caller ID. I couldn't help but smile out of amusement because I knew he'd call me but not this soon. I looked over at my mom who noticed the phone call I was receiving and she knew I wanted to take it so she gave me a discreet nod before I once again, glanced at Jason who was already looking at me. I stood up from my seat before taking my phone and leaving the room knowing full well his eyes were on me, despite my dad being in the room.

I walked over to the garage door, opening it and stepping in as I couldn't be bothered to go up to my room and this was the only room near me that no one could hear my conversation through. As you have discovered now, potential boyfriends were not something my dad wanted to hear about. Not yet.
