Final Chapter
~ 2 Months Later ~
Can you believe it had been two months since everything was finally over? After Jason and I left the horrific scene of bodies all over the floor, we arrived back at my home where my father had announced that he had put an end to this entire thing and that the leaders of the Banda Della Magliana clan had been killed; Franco was gone.
Of course, there was the threat of people going against my father for commuting such a wild act but it soon showed more power than before. Those who feared that crew were coming forward to support my parents, and now more than ever we had more people on our side.
I know we sounded hella royal and this was like The Game of Thrones but it was just the truth, we were finally free.
I was finally free.
Tonight was my parents anniversary and like most years, it was going to be grand because my mom was a crazy person who liked to do everything 10x better than the average person. I didn't complain this time though, I was massively looking forward to this night mainly because it was finally winter break and I was able to breathe again after a month of finals. Not only this, but I was ready to get glam again for the first time in a while without having an attack on me or my family.
At least I hoped, oh god, I was jinxing the night before it had even started.
As for Jason and I, we weren't exactly couple of the year, not because of us personally but because we were like undercover spies. My parents were clueless in terms of our feelings for one another, but more so, just because my family problems were over didn't mean Jason's were. I think for some reason, I forgot that he was a criminal/running his own organisation, I kinda just expected him to be joint to my hip and giving me love and affection all day every day. However, I learnt the hard way that that was not the case.
I saw him, but not enough. It was harder knowing that we had to sneak around and therefore, tonight was extra special as I was going to be telling my parents about us,
We were going to be telling my parents about us.
The glam team had arrived and as per usual, I was being thrown compliments by my makeup artist and hair stylist. It had been a while since I had been pampered so I was actually excited about it. They glammed me up nicely, my eyes were a sparkly neutral brown and my lips were a subtle pink.
My hair was in soft curls and we had decided to go with a braid across the back of my head and have my bangs framing my face. Hair was to match the aesthetic of my dress which my stylist said was 'princess vibes', so I went with it.
As for the outfit, well let's just say it was definitely my favourite item of clothing worn to date. It was a royal blue gown that of course draped to the ground nicely and the back trailed off slightly. It had a slit that was pretty high up my leg, but the dress was fitted to my body so I knew it wasn't going to reveal too much. The dress itself was strapless and had a subtle sweetheart neckline and two small loop straps sat perfectly on my upper arms. The waist was tight and fit me so perfectly, there was a reason why the dress was my favourite one yet, because of how well it fit me.
