I looked in to his eyes, they were dark as he turned his head and looked ahead, focusing elsewhere. "What are you doing here?" I asked as I slowly moved his hand from my mouth, making him look down at me again.

"There's no time for questions Savanna" He paused before looking out again in to the distance. "Come on, can you walk?" He asked making me slowly nod, "Yes" I replied making him look down at me. He looked down at the wounds on my chest and then at my stomach, he sighed deeply before taking my hand and pulling me up with him. I followed him as we walked ahead and out to the front yard where a car was out front, waiting.

He opened the door for me before I turned to look at him, "Jason I-" he cut me off, "Get cleaned up, ain't tryna have that get infected. Understand?" He was so... cold today, i know the circumstances were not the best but I just didn't know this side to him even existed with me. But then again, who was I to him?

"You're not going to tell me anything, are you?" I asked.

He simply opened the door to the SUV where he reached in and pulled out a grey sweatshirt. I didn't know who's it was as it looked a little big but as soon as he handed it to me, I could tell it was his from the smell of his cologne on it. "Cover up" he muttered, I knew it was not a nice thing to say but I also didn't want to make a fuss right now; he was clearly helping me when he could have been elsewhere and in all honesty, I don't know why he was even here helping when my dad had enough men to take care of me.

He simply stepped back which meant it was time to go. I sighed, briefly glancing at him before getting in to the SUV. He shut the door for me before the car drove away, away from him.

I couldn't even comprehend what had happened. One minute I was partying with my best friends and the next I was crying trying to get away from these people. I had no idea what they wanted from me, I didn't know who they were but I had a good idea who they could have been. Obviously people who were opponents to my father. As I stared in to nothing, I heard a voice snapping me out of my train of thoughts making me look up, "Are you okay Savanna? Do you need anything?" Sammy spoke as he glanced back at me through the rear view mirror.

I slowly nodded with a not so reassuring smile, "I'm okay... where are we going?" I asked as I looked out of the window. The streets were dark and it didn't help that these windows were completely blacked out making it harder for me to figure out where we were exactly.

"Your parents have instructed me to take you back home-" I quickly looked over at him, my eyes widening, "We're going home? They are okay with that?" I quickly said, shock in my voice. Whenever anything like this happened or any danger was near, we never went home, we always went somewhere else.

"I can't tell you much now because I don't know much myself, I'm just following bosses orders-" I quickly cut him off. "Sammy, you must know something, please... I don't even know what happened tonight and you expect me to just go home?" I asked.

A few seconds of silence went by before he sighed, "Something went wrong at the meeting, a gang from Kansas had a view demands that boss didn't want to meet. They had already pre planned an attack on you just in case boss didn't agree to their plans..." I know I lived through this, I knew who my parents were and the lives they had but now that I was so... involved in it, it felt a lot more real. Terrifying.

"What were they going to do to me?" I asked, not sure if I wanted an answer.

"Let's just say they don't treat young girls very well. But you don't gotta think about that anymore, you're safe now" He ended, glancing at me through the mirror again with a reassuring look in his eyes. I sighed slowly nodding before sitting back in my seat instantly reminding me of the wounds I had on my body. My white jeans now had a few blood stains on them, I couldn't even bare to look at it any longer so I just tried to forget all about the open areas in my skin.
