"Drowning doesn't seem too bad if you would give me a mouth-to-mouth"

"Hello? Earth to Y/N?" Blinking back to reality, you noticed a hand was waving in your line of sight.

Confused, you stretched your neck to see who was the culprit only to see a certain pink haired pervert smirking down at you.

"Huh? Oh, sorry" you thought that perhaps he wanted to get past you but instead, he grabbed your hand out of your lab coat and spun you around making you confused and most certainly dizzy.

"Woah!" Soon after, you found yourself facing Doctor Park as he pulled you towards his chest with his arm on your back and the other still holding your hand.

"Why drift off to dream land when you can get swept off your feet by me?" Jimin teased with a brow raised in amusement. It took you a second to realise what had just happened and it wasn't long until you shoved the older away.

"Knock it off" and yet again, you leaned your arms on the reception desk and placed your chin on your hand as you let your thoughts take control again.

The pink haired male tilted his head in pure confusion, seeing that you didn't get flustered like you usually would.

Something was off.

And he was right.

Last night occurrences had kept your mind busy. At times such as these, you should be worrying about not getting caught in your new workplace. Yet, here you were, worrying about your sudden fake love confession to the officer to take advantage of him.

You felt horrible.
This was true.

But then, you also felt relieved that Jungkook wasn't on your case anymore. He would surely be distracted by your confession from now on.

"Is Chief Kim late?" A new voice spoke up, making you turn to see four eyes making his way over, looking as agitated as ever whenever he saw you.

"Yeah, even Doctor Min and Doctor Jung haven't arrived yet" Jimin affirmed while momentarily breaking his gaze from your stressed figure.

Taehyung noticed the stares and looked over at you to see why his fellow male doctor was looking at you with such concern. That's when he realised that you were indeed busied by your thoughts which to him was a little surprising.

He had thought that you would definitely not have any worries, especially since you practically had everyone 'wrapped around your finger'.

Doctor Kim looked back over at Jimin where he made eye contact with him before gesturing to him why you were like this.

The other simply shrugged his shoulders, unsure about your strange behaviour as well.

Before anything else could happen, the three doctors that were mentioned before had just arrive at the reception area.

"Morning you three" Doctor Min greeted while typing away on his tablet, not even glancing up to look at you all.

"Sorry for our tardiness, we had a meeting with the ethics team about the twins" chief Kim apologised while pushing his glasses up his nose.

"We may have a solution" Doctor Jung smiled widely as he showed his folder in his arms, indicating that he had come up with a sure procedure.

You couldn't help but glare at Chief Kim for how he had conned you yesterday.

You didn't care if he was your boss at this moment.

Namjoon felt your glares and was instantly confused as to why you were like this. He was sure that he had helped his officer friend yesterday for your benefit as well.

"Really? We get to see another surgery?" Taehyung urged, allowing his box smile to make an appearance as he waited in anticipation.

Doctor Min finally put his tablet away and looked up to make eye contact.

"I'm afraid not. You guys will be very busy doing something else" this intrigued you. Usually, Yoongi wouldn't be so adamant to let you leave his sight, especially when you can be of some assistance.

"Busy... doing what exactly?" Jimin asked this time while leaning closer.

Chief Kim looked down at his expensive wrist watch that Hoseok always recognised him by and proceeded to speak up.

"In a few minutes, you will start your first ever 24 hour shift"

Huh?

"What?! Already?!" Jimin exclaimed, making you jump in surprise.

"We didn't get a heads up?" Eyeing the more experienced doctors in front of him, Taehyung could also not believe his ears and watched as Doctor Jung scratched thr back of his neck apologetically.

"Turns out, we will be very busy since the yearly investors' celebration party is next week and we need to try and get new investors to be interested in Ascelpius. Its best to do it now while Doctor Kim can keep an eye on all of you before he becomes busy" with that said, Jin had already made his appearance with his tablet in hand and stood beside the chief of surgery with a confident smile on his face.

You instantly knew that this was possibly the worst time for you to have a 24 hour shift.

Not being able to focus with what happened with Jungkook last night, there's no way you're going to stay focused for the patients.

Not to mention that Jungkook will be keeping an eye on you for your safety which makes everything even worse.

An excuse.

An excuse is what you need.

"Err, Doctor Min. Can I have a moment-"

"Twins emergency! They're fighting again!" Hoseok exclaimed after looking down at his hospital phone which showed him tabs on every patient.

"Let's go. Good luck you three, I have my full trust in Doctor Kim to look after you all" Chief Kim added before rushing off with Doctor Jung. Yoongi bit his lip in guilt and allowed his eyes to linger on you for a moment before following after his colleagues.

Your mouth became agape in shock, seeing that Doctor Min had left you so easily.

At least Doctor Kim was here to help you.

Jin cleared his throat to gain your attention.

"Ready for the most chaotic 24 hours of your life?" While you stood there as a nervous wreck, both Jimin and Taehyung couldn't look even more excited.
