"My adductor isn't the only thing that's longus."

"I can't believe I just did that..."

"I can't believe I went along with it..." Jin grumbled whilst dragging himself up the stairs of your apartment building.

You were sluggishly trailing behind him and for any bystander, they could tell that your souls had left your bodies.

Instead of your soul leaving, you had wished that the memories of what happened for you to get here would leave from it's place.

Shall we rewind?

------------------1 hour earlier-------------------

Pant.

Pant.

Pant.

How many stairs do you have to go through to escape the officer?

Well, he was a trained professional for these kinds of things... so you probably weren't going to get out of this one.

"Y/N! I just want to talk!" He yelled from a few flights below you.

How were you going to explain it to him?

"N-Not now! Talk to me later!" You yelled before turning a corner to run up another flight of stairs.

He probably just wanted to see how you were doing after the whole jumping in the river thing.

But then, he could start asking why you were dressed up as a doctor.

Whilst in the midst of your thoughts, you didn't realise that someone was walking down the stairs while typing away on his tablet and minding his own business until you two collided.

"Woah!"

"Oof!" The two of you skidded down together to the bottom of the stairs and simultaneously groaned in pain.

"Ugh... my back..." the Doctor huffed out. After hearing his familiar voice, you looked up to see the tenant that lived with you.

"Jin?!"

"Y/N?" You noticed that he was in casual wear and no longer in his lab coat which could only mean that he was heading home.

"Jin! Help me- officer Jeon is on to me!" You whispered/shouted at the older while looking down at the stair gaps to see the brunette still legging it up the stairs.

The older tried to think of a plan to help you not get caught. That's when his eyes landed on the wheelchair that was meant for those who couldn't go down the stairs.

"...Y/N, go sit on that" confused, you looked behind you and at the bright red wheelchair that hung on the wall.

Jungkook was now only one flight of stairs away and it was clear he wasn't going to stop his search for you.

Once he was nearing the top, he saw a dark haired male pushing what looked like to be an old woman down the stairs.

"Sorry!" Jungkook apologised as he quicklh dodged the two and continuing his running.

Once his footsteps became faint, you finally removed the dirty grey rag on your head and the white cloth that covered your body.

"How did that work?!" You exclaimed.

Jin could only laugh at the sight of you.

"I'm not just handsome you know, I've got a beautiful brain, too" he boasted, making you roll your eyes.

"Whatever, now! Push me all the way down!"

"Are you crazy? This isn't a fair ground ride!"

"Fine, be boring"

-----------------------present-----------------------

After insulting him about how boring he was, Jin didn't hesitate to slide you down the stairs.

"Who knew doctors could be fun?" You joked once you reached the last floor of the building and heard as Jin took out the keys to enter your home.

"Of course we can be fun! Why wouldn't we be?" He retaliated while unlocking the front door.

"I just thought with all the sick people you have to surround yourself with, it would get pretty grim. Some of them even die" you answered truthfully. To be honest, hospitals weren't always the greatest place to be. It's not like when someone hears that they're going to the hospital its always a good thing.

It's the opposite, really.

Suddenly, after your last statement, Jin froze on the spot with his hand still on the door handle and his expression blank.

Furrowing your brows in confusion, you tried to see why he had stopped for no reason.

"...Jin? You okay?"

"You're right..." he whispered, opening the door as he did so and entering the quiet apartment with only the TV playing in the background.

"You'd think I'd be miserable with all the sh*t that I've been through" he muttered quietly enough for you to hear before greeting your tired mother who was sitting on the homely couch.

Tilting your head slightly at this, you had wondered what he was talking about.

Doctors were always confident and happy to save lives...

...right?
