This was it.

All the hardwork and time has lead to this moment.

Taehyung could finally take part in his first ever surgery and you could get all the answers.

No pressure right?

"Where is Doctor L/N? We should be starting soon" Hoseok asked out of curiosity while scrubbing his hands clean outside the surgery room, all ready to go in his blue attire.

Namjoon looked over his shoulder to see if you were any where while drying his hands and was confused to see you not present, leading him to look over at Yoongi who had just gloved up and had no idea either.

Doctor Min was getting anxious and wondered if you just gave up and ran away from here. Though that wasn't possible since you told him you would be here for the twins' sake. There was no way you wouldn't show up.

"...that damn woman- I'll go get her-" suddenly, the glass double doors behind them opened up to reveal someone already suited up for the surgery and making their entrance.

Unfortunately for Yoongi, it wasn't you.

"Doctor Kim? What are you doing wearing the surgical robes?" Hoseok grabbed the towel to dry his hands off and stepped closer to hear his response.

Taehyung on the other hand looked confident and determined as he answered.

"Doctor L/N has given me the chance to take over her position" taken aback, Yoongi couldn't process his words as he was too shocked to comprehend. If he remembered correctly, the two were far from friendly and you just switched out with him on your own accord?

Before he could question him further, Namjoon stepped forward with a soap bar ready to give him.

"Then get scrubbed up. I'll see you in there" shocked, Taehyung took the soap in awe from the Chief's words of acceptance which only gave him more of a boost to do his best in his first surgery. It really was coming true.

Doctor Jung was going through a sense of pride, seeing his junior's hard work put to the test just like how he wanted and even though he was expecting you to be there instead, he didn't mind the change up at all.

Yoongi on the other hand was irritated beyond belief. The chances of the surgery had dropped dramatically and the investor's party was tomorrow. You were his golden ticket but you managed to slip right through his fingers.

While the other three began making their way inside, Doctor Min went towards a nurse who was waiting outside the glass doors and beckoned her over closer to him.

"Hm? Yes Doctor Min?"

"Go find Doctor L/N and drag her here at all costs...the success of this surgery depends on her"

Looking at your phone screen, you knew that the surgery would be starting soon, meaning no interruptions whatsoever by Namjoon the owner of the office.

You wondered how they had reacted to Taehyung appearing instead of you. Yoongi was probably seeing red you had guessed.

"Sorry, Yoongi... I'm sure the twins will be okay" you hoped. Shaking your head to get rid of the stressful thoughts, you returned back to the situation at hand which was breaking in to Namjoon's office.
