Chapter 3 -Luke-

Today Maddie had decided that we were going to go shopping. I wasn't really looking forward to it that much but I was looking forward to seeing her. It had been two weeks since we started 'dating' and we'd hung out quite a bit, trying to get rumours circulating like management wanted. It was working too. There were so many stories about us. The fans were keen on the idea as well since they all knew about the crush I had on her. The boys keep asking if anything will actually happen between us for real. I kind of wanted it too. I've liked her for ages.

"Hey, Lucas" She said as she approached me waiting outside the mall.

"Hey" I smiled and pulled her in for a hug and kissed her cheek. I could see a couple of cameras flash out the corner of my eye.

"Where do you want to go first?" I asked and she shrugged.

"Actually, lets go get something to eat, I'm starving" We decided on IHOP since it was only 10:30.

"We never really got to know each other that well, did we?"

"Nope and that was two weeks ago" Ever since we'd just been enjoying each others company.

"So 20 questions?" I nodded. I watched as she started to think. God, her thinking face cute. I smiled and she looked at my weirdly before carrying on.

"One, what's your best chat up line?"

"Seriously?"

"Yes, I want to know!"

"Um, you dance hot. Coincidentally, you're a dancer"

"Do I dance hot?"

"I've never seen you dance, maybe you should give me a private show"

"No to the private show but for your information, I do dance hot" We both burst into laughter at her final comment. I loved how care free we were when we were together. Nothing else seemed to matter.

"Anyway, next question" Her phone cut me off by ringing. She looked at it but looked back at me. "Aren't you going to answer that?"

"No, I'm with you" I smiled and we went back to the game.

"Uh, longest relationship you've had" I asked her. I was kind of curious about these things.

"9 months I think"

"Why'd it end?"

"He cheated on me"

"What? How could someone cheat on a girl like you? You're amazingly talented, smart, kind, beautiful. How could someone do that?"

"Thanks, Luke. I'm really none of those things but it's nice of you to say it anyway"

"What do you mean? You're everyone of those things and more" She smiled and I saw a blush creep up onto her cheeks. "Why don't you believe me?"

"Because no one ever calls me those things. Not even my ex did. He said that people who say that shit are stupid"

"Why did you date that dick?"

"I don't know. I guess I needed support and he was there. I realise now that there's much better people in the world than him" She said and looked up at me as she said the last bit. I smiled and took her hand across the table, rubbing my thumb over it.

"Now, what's your favourite TV show?" She asked after our food had been served.

"How I Met Your Mother" I answered as if it was obvious.

"Same, I have the boxset"

"If it disappears, it wasn't me" I told her and she laughed. Her laugh was angelic.

"If you change one thing about the other person, what would it be?"

"I'd want to change your height because it makes me feel short but at the same time I love tall boys and you fit into every category right now. What about me, Hemmings?"

"I'd change nothing. You're perfect in my eyes" I paused before asking the next question. "What music do you like?"

"Bring Me The Horizon, Blink, Green Day, Sleeping With Sirens, Fall Out Boy and All Time Low. There's loads more but they're the main ones I listen to"

"Wow, you're music taste is amazing. Mine's practically the same" I told her. "You're missing one though"

"Who?"

"5 Seconds of Summer, they're great"

"So I've heard"

"Who's your celebrity crush?" She asked, moving on. I debated telling her but figured it wouldn't do much harm, would it?

"You"

"Me?"

"Yeah"

"Why me?"

"Why not you? Like I said, you're beautiful and talented" She blushed again and smiled.

"Is that why the boys thought you should be the one to date me?" I nodded.

"This isn't going to change things is it?"

"Of course not. Anyway, I've always had a slight crush on the tall, blonde with the lip piercing from 5 Seconds of Summer. He's hot" She winked before getting up from the booth.
