Chapter 23 -Luke-

"Chloe, can we talk?"

"I guess"

"Look, I know you're still annoyed with me but I'm sorry. And I'm even more sorry about what I'm about to say. I never intended for any of this to happen, it just did"

"Luke, what are you on about?"

"You know the other morning, when I came in at 10am and I told you I'd gone for a walk?" She nodded. "I didn't go for a walk. I went to Maddie's house, at 2am"

"Why?" She said, surprisingly calm.

"Because something happened and I don't know how to make it sound any better but-"

"You kissed her, didn't you?"

"How'd you guess?"

"I had a feeling something would happen between you two"

"You don't seem mad, why?"

"I guess I knew. I knew you still loved her from the moment she stepped into the hotel room. You couldn't take your eyes off of her. I get it, you two have history"

"So, you're not mad?"

"A little, but to be honest, I knew we weren't going to be together forever"

"I'm sorry, Chloe"

"Don't worry, Luke, it's fine. I'm sorry too, I kissed Calum"

"I would be mad but I kissed Maddie, so we're even. Thanks for being so understanding"

"I've decided to go back to San Francisco, I'm leaving tommorrow"

"So, is this it?"

"Yes, Luke. We both know where your heart is" She said. She kissed me gently before starting to pack.

"I'm sorry, again"

"Me too, Luke. But thank you, you've done so much for me"

"You're welcome. You're a beautiful, amazing girl and you deserve to be treated right. You'll make someone very happy one day, they'll be a lucky guy"

"So, she left this morning?" Maddie asked. I nodded. We were at mine and the boys' house in LA. We were stood in the kitchen, myself leaning up against the counter whilst she sat on the island opposite.

"Yeah, she was really understanding anyway. She'd kissed Calum as well so we were kind of even"

"Well, I'm glad it's all sorted out" She said and I nodded in agreement. I stepped closer to her and wrapped my arms around her waist.

"I'm so happy to have you back, Princess"

"It's been so long since I heard you say that"

"I know, but now you can be my princess for as long as you want"

"You're not managed by Nikki anymore, are you?"

"No, we got a new manager. What about you?"

"Nope, we had a huge argument"

"No surprise there"

"Hey!" She said and playfully slapped my arm. She wrapped her arms around my neck, moving herself closer.

"I think I love you"

"I think I love you too" I leaned down, placing my lips on hers. I deepended the kiss, running my tongue across her lip. She parted her lips and I slipped my tongue in.

"For fucks sake" We heard someone shout and pulled away quickly to see Ashton, Calum and Michael stood at the door.

"What the fuck is this?" Calum asked pointing at the both of us.

"Um, we're dating?" Maddie more questioned than stated.

"Are you dating? Or dating. ?" Michael asked.

"We haven't talked about that part yet"

"Aw, I'm so happy for you guys" Ashton said, running over to hug us.

"Thanks" Maddie laughed.

"But one rule, no making out in the kitchen. That's what Luke's room is for, more specifically his bed"
