I was a little relieved when I got to Mr. Henderson's classroom. Adam wasn't there and I knew I would be safe for his questions for just a little while longer. Although, I did feel bad that I purposely avoided Aisha this morning when we were supposed to be walking to school together. I tried to remember what Ms. Maria told me – to not let myself become boy obsessed. Which, I don't really thing I was, but I did feel like I was spending more time with Adam than I was anyone else. There was just something about that boy that was over all comforting – even if we didn't even speak a word to each other.
Second period was... exhausting. It took everything in me not to tell Bulk and Skull off again. I notice Aisha wasn't in class either and I was starting to wonder if I was missing something. But then my question was answered at lunch time where I sat with Billy and Kimberly. They had told me that Adam, Aisha, Tommy, and Rocky were all at a martial arts competition. I wasn't even aware that Aisha was into martial arts, but it kind of did make sense.
"What are you doing after school Kimberly?" I asked her.
"I'm supposed to meet up with everyone at the Juice Bar. You should come." She smiled.
"I'll have to ask of course, but yeah... I would like to come." I smiled back at her.
Just then, all three of our communicators went off. We all looked at each other and then I followed their lead as we all casually got up and walked into an empty hallway that kept us hidden from any of the other students or staff.
"You've got Kimberly, Billy, and Danielle." Billy spoke.
"Rangers, the three of you must hurry to the Angel Grove recycling center. Rita and Lord Zedd have sent their putty patrol and a new monster. You three will have to take care of this matter on your own." Zordon said.
"We're on it Zordon." Billy told him.
"Let's go kick some butt!" Kimberly grabbed her communicator. I mocked her and then we all teleported to the recycling center.
When we first got there, we didn't see anything. We all looked at each other confused as we stayed grouped together. Zordon and Alpha sensed a reading there, so we knew they were there somewhere... we just had to find them. Billy thought it would be a good idea for us to morph before they got the opportunity to ambush us.
"Triceratops!" Billy yelled.
"Velociraptor!" I followed.
"Pterodactyl." Kimberly finished the sequence.
We skipped right over our Ninjetti suits and into our armor. We all remained close to each other as we started scoping the recycling center out. Billy kept the lead as we got closer to entering the building. It was too quiet around here but they were somewhere. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw something run past us and remain hidden. We were just as quiet, but I pointed it out to the others and then we made the move to ambush them.
When we rounded the corner, there were a group of putties that we started fighting them. The monster was nowhere to be seen yet, but it was only a matter of time before that thing showed up. I ducked a putty as they tried to hit me, and I kicked their feet out from underneath them and punched them in the chest. They dissolved into thin air. I went to help Kimberly who really didn't need to help it, but the quicker we got those putties out of here, the better. I think that was the quickest we had ever taken care of the putties but still no sign of the monster.
We checked the whole building twice and nothing. Zordon had us come back to the command center so that Billy could help track this monster. He was good at those types of things according to Kimberly. I didn't know what to do to help other than just stand there and wait to be told what to do. After about an hour to or, they lost any trace of this monster so until it showed back up – there was nothing we could do. Zordon had gotten us out of the remainder of our classes somehow so we were able to go to the martial arts competition at the Youth Center to see the ending. We found seats near the back of the room, but I leaned against the wall, looking around to see if I spotted Adam or any of the others.
