Kimberly and her family had been way too kind to me – even after I had accused Kimberly of being with my boyfriend. They told Kimberly and myself that I could stay there as long as I needed too and made sure I was comfortable, which I was in a sense. I had never stayed there before or even with Kimberly, so there was that sense of uncomfortableness in my bones as I tried to sleep.

Kimberly fell asleep around nine after talking on the phone with Tommy. I, however, tossed and turned on the air mattress that had been blown up and placed on Kimberly's bedroom floor for me. I gave up trying to sleep about an hour ago and I knew that would suck during school tomorrow. That was really all Kimberly's parents asked of me – that I went to school. I had no problem with that. I had no problem going to school. Even if I meant I had to face Bulk and Skull after what they said to me before I stormed out. I was at a point with those two, where I didn't even care what they had to say because I knew at least had Adam and the others there to help keep me from going insane on them.

When I heard Kimberly's alarm go off when it was time to start getting ready for school, I knew I was in for a long day. All I knew was that it was Friday and I could at least take a nap after school since I didn't have to worry about doing anything tomorrow. Kimberly was up and out of her bed within a few minutes after her alarm went off while I was slugging behind. I had no energy to get ready but I got up and grabbed my clothes, taking them to the bathroom to get dressed and give Kimberly a moment of privacy to do the same.

While in the bathroom, I tied my hair up into a messy bun... not even bothering to brush it. I really didn't care how I looked today with how I felt. A slow headache was starting to form, and I hoped it would just go away. I quickly brushed my teeth and then headed back to Kimberly's room to wait for her.

"Good morning!" she smiled as she sat in front of a vanity doing her hair.

"Morning." I muttered, sitting on the edge of her bed and watching her.

"How did you sleep?" she asked.

"I didn't." I shook my head.

"Were you not comfortable?" Kimberly asked.

"I was very comfortable. I just couldn't sleep. I promise." I told her.

"I understand that. It was probably a little odd sleeping in a new place. Hopefully tonight will be better." She smiled at me through the mirror.

"I'm sure it will be. You don't think your parents would mind if I went to Adam's after school, do you?" I wondered.

"No, of course not. I'm going out with Tommy to the movie's tonight. Maybe we could double date." She giggled as she worked on her hair.

"I'll have to ask Adam about that one. There's some stuff we need to handle tonight so I don't want to commit without asking him first." I muttered.

"Either way, we'll definitely have to plan something! I usually eat breakfast with Tommy at school but you're more than welcome to eat before we have to leave. Help yourself to anything. My parents should already be gone for work, so you won't have worry about running into them downstairs." She told me.

"Thanks, but I'll pass for right now." I told her.

"So, when are you going to spill the details of how Adam asked you out?" Kimberly asked.

"Well, it was kind of cute." I blushed when I thought about it.

"Details! Details! Details!" she turned around in her chair when she finished her hair.

"Adam took me to this little spot that he loved. We were just talking at first and then we kind of made-out. He didn't want me telling people that our first kiss was when he had to give me CPR." I laughed, "It was very nice. But then I teased him and asked Adam when he was going to finally ask me out. He told me he wanted me to ask him out because he was shy. I told him that I was just as shy so that it wasn't going to happen. Then he finally asked me and I looked that boy dead in the eyes with the most serious look on my face and told him I wasn't looking for a boyfriend. He looked mortified but then I told him I was just messing around and of course I'd be his girlfriend."
