I hadn't wanted to remove my arm from Blair's shoulders. Something just seemed to pull me towards her.
We walked in silence and I was left alone with my thoughts. I had a storm raging inside my head. I liked Blair and dating wasn't out of the question but another part of me was scared of getting hurt and didn't trust her.
I walked a bit further, my shoes breaking the leaves underneath. One, two. Crack. One, two. Crack. One pair of footsteps, I realised.
Where was Blair?
That's when the scream rang out. It was heart wrenching. I could feel my heart being pulled out of my body and the life draining out of me.
"Blair!!!!!" I screamed. My voice was raw and scratchy. She wouldn't hear me. My breaths were ragged.
"Ahhhhh! Lucas!" Maeve screamed. I ran towards her as he targeted her.
"Maeve! No!" I screamed. She stumbled and the shot was fired. She screamed and fell silent as her eyes turned glassy and she stopped breathing.
"I'll kill you!" Rhea roared, grabbing the gun of a dead policeman. My brave older sister.
I ran behind a table and that's when I heard it for the second time. A scream from my sister. I stood up to see Rhea crumpling to the ground. Her eyes turned glassy as she lay next to Maeve.
I ran. I didn't look back, I ran away from the danger. From my sisters' bodies.
Not again. No!
I was pulled out of the memory and I did it.
I turned round to see darkness. The screaming carried on though.
"Ahhhh!!" The scream carried on. The birds flew away. Away from danger.
"Blair!? Blair!?" I screamed. I ran through the woods towards the source of the screaming. Not again!
I ran faster as the screams got louder. I stopped as I saw her.
She stood in the middle of the clearing. Her eyes were pure black and she was screaming. She couldn't see anything as her hands tapped the air.
"Bella!" She screeched, dropping me onto the ground."Bella! Obudź się! Nie umarłeś! nie moźesz umrzeć! Nie teraz, nigdy!" She shouted, tapping the ground.
I couldn't understand her but I caught the word Bella.
"Przepraszam, Bello. Proszę wybacz mi!" She shouted, sobbing. Her skin had turned pale and her black eyes looked darker against it. Her black hair whipped whilst around her face.
Then her face went slack and she looked at me. Her ebony eyes looking straight through my soul.
"They will come for her! You will run away from her, like you did with your sisters! You will trust them! You will love! They will rise again!" She said. Purple mist swirled around her and her hair rose up floating as her eyes turned neon purple. Her hair settled around her shoulders and turned the same shade of purple as the mist. What scared me the most was that the voice that came from Blair's mouth as she said that to me, wasn't Blair's voice. It was a much older woman's voice.
The mist suddenly disappeared and her eyes returned to emerald green. Her hair floated back down and she slumped over.
I snapped out of my trance and ran over to her.
"Blair? It's me, It's Lucas." I told her. She didn't stop she just started sobbing. It was her own voice now.
I crouched down and pulled her into my arms before picking her up bridal style, again.
As soon as her head hit my arm, she passed out. I hope this wasn't going to be a daily thing.
I stayed crouched on the ground and left Blair's legs balance on mine as zig or out my phone. I put the phone against my ear and balanced it on my shoulder. I picked Blair up and stood up as Ben answered.
"Lucas?" He asked. I almost sighed in relief. I didn't think he would pick up because of his date with Sophia.
"Are you on the mainland?" I asked him. Blair turned in my arms so that her face was facing my chest.
"No. We are at the gates. We're getting ready. What's wrong?" He told me. I sighed.
"Blair blacked out. She was having a memory about Bella. It was crazy. Her skin turned pale and her eyes were pure black. Then this purple mist swirled around her and her hair rose up into the air, then coming back down and turning purple. Her eyes were a neon purple and she said 'They will come for her! You will run from her, like you did to your sisters! You will trust them! You will love! They will rise again!'"I told my best friend. I saw him at the gate and Sophia's mouth dropped wide open. She was wearing denim shorts, a pink vest top and a pair of Chelsea boots. Casual date. She had makeup and hair done though.
I reached them and Ben took my phone from my ear and hung up.
"What the hell happened, Lucas?" She asked, furious." You always make her do things like this." She told me like a mother scolding her children.
"Well, as I told Ben. Blair blacked out. She was having a memory about Bella. It was weird. They will rise again!'"I told her. She sighed.
"I've never heard of that happening before. I'll check the library tomorrow." Sophia muttered. I sighed, not wanting to ask this question but Ben beat me to it.
"Take Blair to her and Sophia's dorm room. Me and Sophia will recover the alcohol. We know that Headmaster Axton likes Jack Daniel's whiskey and Smirnoff vodka. This will be fun," He told me. I was lucky to have friends like Ben and sometimes Jacob.
"Ok," I answered as they both walked off. We passed the gate and Graham frowned.
"What's wrong with, Blair?" He asked.
"Tired. Had a rough day." I answered. He sighed and let us through.
Thankfully, we didn't bump into anyone on the way to Blair and Sophia's room.
I lay Blair down and took her boots off before sitting next to her feet.
"G'night, Blair," I whispered before waiting for my best friend to come back.
