I sprang out of my hiding spot and Ollie growled.

"What the hell are you doing here, North?" He growled. I smiled, maliciously.

"Getting Ryann back!" I shouted. I ran over to Ollie and punched him in the face.

Jacob ran over to Ronan and joined the fight.

"You'll pay for that!" Ollie snarled, coveting his now bleeding nose. He swung his fist towards my face. I grabbed his neck and twisted it to the right. He was only unconscious. I'd lost sight of Charlotte but I didn't care.

Something didn't seem right though. The fight was too easy.

"Lucas, we have a problem." Jacob said. I turned my head to see a bleeding Ronan."I killed him." He admitted. I swore but I couldn't concentrate on that.

I looked at Ryann. She looked so sickly. I pulled the iron bars apart and ran over to her.

"Ryann! Baby, wake up. Please wake up. You can't be dead. Shit." I begged. I pulled her into my lap.

I knew it was cliché but I'm sure it would wake her up.

I put my mouth on her and kissed her.

I opened my eyes as her lips responded against mine. I pulled back, my eyes glistening with tears.

"Shit. I thought you were dead," I whispered.

"Lucas!" She squealed as she came to her senses. I chuckled, hugging her. She wrapped her arms around me and I picked her up, bridal style. Tears were running down both our faces now.

Jacob saw us and started laughing.

"Aww.....true love's kiss," he teased us. I growled and Ryann chuckled. She put a hand on her ribs.

"It hurts to laugh." She rasped our. I stroked her hair, ascending the stairs. I had no idea what had happened down here, what she'd learnt but judging by her current state, it wasn't good.

"I'm so sorry," she whispered. I stopped at the top of the stairs and frowned.

"What for?" I asked. She looked genuinely upset and sheepish.

"For not telling you my feelings." She said." I like you, Lucas. As in like-like. Sorry this is really awkward." She admitted. I laughed and she smiled.

"It's okay, Ry." I told her. Jacob opened the garden house door and Sophia and Ben ran towards us.

"Oh my god! Thank god, you're okay!" Sophia said, flinging her arms around Ryann. Ryann laughed and groaned again.

"Sorry," Sophia apologised.

We all just laughed. It was nice to have Ryann back.

I sat down on her bed in the nurse's ward. The others had left a few minutes ago after the nurse had looked Ryann over and confirmed starvation, dehydration and broken ribs.

Ryann looked so frail but she was smiling. That's what counted.

"If it means anything, I don't just like you." I whispered. She smiled. I'm pretty sure she was falling asleep.

"I love you, Lucas." She whispered. I smiled, kicking my shoes off and lying down next to her. I tugged her to my chest, her back facing my chest, and draped an arm over her. I fell asleep without the nightmares that normally plagued my nights. Ryann Conway was most certainly an Angel.

"I love you too, Ry," I whispered.
