"And we will continue tomorrow." Mrs Fletcher shouted to the sound of the bell. I stuffed my books and pencil case into my satchel, Jacob doing the same next to me.
He'd whispered and talked to me all lesson. A real flirt and genuine guy. Ollie was cute but he wasn't my type and he was a bit mean whereas Jacob was cute, funny and most definitely my type. Lucas was still on my mind though. I couldn't distract myself from him.
I walked out of the classroom with Jacob, Ben and Sophia.
"Eat lots of meat." Lucas told me, walking off towards the dinning room. I sighed, separating from Jacob and Ben.
Me and Sophia ran up the stairs to our dorm room. If I was going to change tonight, I wanted to do it in comfort. My school clothes were also expensive.
We burst into our room and slammed to door shut, laughing.
"So, what should I wear to my 'change'?" I asked Sophia. She was the expert and had done this forever. Sophia's parents were both Fox shifters, so she had born a shifter. It was all kind of weird but I let it go.
"Uh...." Sophia trailed off, blushing. Oh god, I didn't.....no. That was ludicrous.
"You kind of have to strip before you shift." Sophia said, sheepishly." Just chuck something that is easy to get off." She quickly said before the atmosphere became awkward. I nodded and settled for a short orange sundress. It had a square neckline that didn't show any cleavage. I didn't want to show any cleavage, that was the past. I slipped my sandals on and waited for Sophia to put on her camo green sundress.
I'd brought two over and Sophia loved to borrow the camo green one. She smiled at me and opened the door.
"Ready?" She asked, walking out. I nodded, following.
We went to the dinning hall.
The dinning hall was always packed at breakfast, lunch and dinner. It turned out that ,like the stories, shifters had massive appetites. Now, that kind of applied to me.
"Hey!" Jacob called out to us as we entered. He was sat on a separate table was a suspicious Ben and grumpy-as-always Lucas. We waved and went to sit with them.
My mind was still stuck onto me and Lucas' almost kiss. My lips tingled just thinking about it.
Jacob and Ben's plates were piled high with meat and Lucas's was twice the size of theirs. My stomach growled and I blushed.
"I'm going to get some food." I told them as Sophia sat down. She nodded as the boy's ate the food again.
I walked over to the buffet. That was ,apparently, another shifter thing: Graceful but predatory walking. All dominant species of shifters walked with a predatory grace. I was kind of getting used to it now.
"Hey, Axton." A voice behind me said, happily. A feeling in my head, my wolf, was growling. I had been told by Sophia that the animal was constantly in your mind and impacted the shifters decisions.
I turned round, smiling.
"Ollie! It's great to see you but I need food." I told him, grabbing a plate and piling vegetables and potatoes on my plate.
"Aren't you going to grab some meat?" The idiot asked again. I cut myself some beef to prove a point. He chuckled at that.
"There. Meat. No go away, Eastwood." I said, walking back to my table. Ollie, the insufferable idiot, kept on talking.
"I was thinking. Do you want to do something tonight?" He asked as I put my tray down, next to Sophia. Jacob, Ben, Sophia and Lucas all had their eyes on Ollie.
"I've got plans. Maybe another time. Now, please go away." I told him, sweetly. I was hoping that he would take a hint because I was about to snap and that would reveal my new status as a shifter.
"But-" Ollie started. Jacob, Lucas and Ben growled at Ollie. He paled. This was obviously bad.
"I think you better go, Ollie. Ignoring 3 dominant shifters is a bad idea. Especially Alpha murder over there." Sophia told Ollie, sticking her thumb out at Lucas. Ollie looked like he wanted to say more but Ronan, ever the saviour, came over.
"Come on, Ollie. You've had your fun." My cousin told Ollie. Ollie nodded and walked back to his table. Ronan put a hand on my arm and Jacob and Lucas started growling again.
"Chill, Ronan's my cousin. If he were to harm me, I'd scream. Got it, Alpha Murder and Mr-Overprotective?" I asked the two wolves. Jacob nodded but Lucas continued, stupidly.
I sighed, walking to a corner with Ronan.
"I'm worried." He blurted our. I cocked my head, much like a confused animal." They aren't a good group, Blair." He added. I rolled my eyes.
"I'm fine. I'm more worried about you and little miss psycho over there." I told him, jerking a finger at Charlotte. A Charlotte that was currently kissing Ollie in the cheek.
"You don't have to worry about me and Charlotte." He replied. I nodded. He finally got it. Thank the Lord.
"And you don't have to worry about me." I told him, walking back to my friends. Ronan was obviously irritated but returned to his girlfriend, who was still flirting with Ollie, anyway.
"What'd he want?" Jacob asked. I shrugged.
"Nothing." I replied, digging into my meal. Lucas sighed.
"Lying's a sin, sweetheart." He told me. I nearly laughed.
"I know." I answered him. He rolled his eyes as I finished off my vegetables and moved onto my potatoes. I finished them off quickly and started eating the meat.
"I thought I told you to get lots of meat?" He asked me. I nodded, finishing off the beef.
"You did but you aren't the boss of me." I told him. He sighed and opened his mouth to speak when I started growling.
I was confused. I wanted to stop growling but my wolf didn't. Suddenly, I felt an ache in my bones.
"Blair?" Lucas asked. I couldn't stop growling. I clutched my stomach as it started to violently twist and then. Oh god, this wasn't good.
"She's going to turn!" Sophia shout-whispered. Lucas stood up and picked me up, bridal style. We ran out towards the woods and the others followed.
It was time.
