I woke up in my bed. I groaned clutching my head. At least, I was sober. I went into the bedroom and washed my face.
I was still in my jeans and t shirt, thank god. According to my watch, it was 12am.
I went into the bathroom and saw Sophia's phone. She must have forgotten to take it on her date.
It pinged and I ignored it. I wasn't going to go through Sophia's business.
It pinged again and I picked up her phone. What was so important that someone was continually texting her. I sat on my bed and read through her, Ben, Jacob and Lucas's group chat. I know I shouldn't but I was intrigued. I scrolled to the top as there weren't many messages.
Sophia: Lucas, how did you explain it to Headmaster Axton?
Lucas: Told him I drank it.
Jacob: Why?
Lucas: It made sense.
Ben: How is Blair doing? Any nightmares or anything?
Sophia: No, she's alright. She's going to meet you now, Lucas.
Lucas: Thanks for the heads up.
Jacob: Sophia are you coming to the woods or not? Here are the coordinates.
Ben: Sophia's with me. We've just given Headmaster Axton the alcohol. Will be there in 5.
Ben: Sophia hopes you didn't wake Blair up.
Jacob: Shoot! I forgot sorry.
Lucas: I wouldn't worry about Blair waking up.
Ben: What did you do Lucas? When you say stuff like that, I fear for Blair.
Jacob: I agree with Ben. This is one of those rare moments when Ben is right.
Ben: Oi!
Lucas: Relax. She was sparko when I left. I wouldn't worry. Unless she had a nightmare that woke her up.
Ben: Ok. See you guys in 10. The sea is a bit choppy. Just hold on.
What? Why were they checking up on me and what were they going to do in the woods?
I clicked on the link that Jacob had sent for the woods. Bingo!
I pulled my knee high brown boots on and grabbed my gillet. It was cold outside and I didn't plan on getting a cold.
I turned the lights off and tucked my phone in my pocket, holding Sophia's phone with the coordinations.
Most people were asleep but some were playing games or talking. The joys of boarding school.
I tiptoed along the corridor because someone would drag me back to my room if they heard me. There's always one and I wasn't going to take that chance.
5 minutes later, I was at the grand staircase.
"What should we do?" Uncle Julian asked.
I plastered myself onto the wall of the corridor. Uncle Julian couldn't see me on this walk.
"We'll tell her soon. Let the healing finish. We don't want to overwhelm her," My aunt told him. They must have been talking about me. No one else was healing but who would they tell.
"Ok. Let's go to bed," He told my aunt. I heard the oak doors close.
Aunt Jodie and Uncle Julian lived in a little cabin off of campus. It was on the east side of the island.
I came out of the shadows and ran out of the oak door. If I took any longer, I would miss what Sophia, Ben, Jacob and Lucas were doing.
I froze as I saw Graham at the gate. He was sleeping. I smirked, remembering all the assault courses I used to do when Bella was at Stephanie's house. 10 Downing Street, I know.
I put Sophia's phone in my pocket before I ran to the gate and jumped upwards as I got nearer. I grabbed a hole in the gate and startled climbing up. It was hard but I could do it.
I swung my legs over the gate and landed on my feet, on the other side. I smiled, getting Sophia's phone out.
I ran as I got nearer to the destination. I stopped as I saw Jacob and Lucas standing in a clearing. There was a clear view of the moon here. It highlighted Lucas and Jacob's silhouettes making them seem otherworldly.
I gasped as Sophia and Ben ran into the clearing hand in hand. I smiled with happiness for my friend.
"Finally!" Jacob exclaimed.
"The sea was a bit choppy," Sophia told him, blushing. Ben started blushing and I resisted the urge to snicker.
"Must have been very choppy." Jacob said. Ben glared at him.
"Shut up! I know that your wolf is restless." Ben told Jacob. Jacob sighed, running a hand down his face.
Wolf? Did these guys own wolves or something. I looked around. There weren't any cages. Maybe they were further into the woods.
Then four of them tipped their heads back, looking at the moon, and started howling. Well, Sophia was yipping. A bit like a fox. This must be this years production.
Lucas started screaming as blood came out of his body. Almost as fast as the blood can out, black fur covered him. He collapsed on all fours as his nose grew into a muzzle. His 2 legs and arms shortened into short, powerful legs. His screams turned into a howl. The same happened to Jacob, Cole and Sophia. I counted the animals that were humans.
Lucas was an ebony wolf, Jacob a sandy wolf, Ben a chocolate wolf and Sophia was a Snow White Fox. No way! This was a dream. Wasn't it?
3 wolves and 1 fox. Sophia had just turned into a fox...like a......a shifter.
No, this wasn't real. I pinched my self. Hard. I nearly screamed at the pressure but it my lip instead. I even drew blood.
The ebony wolf, Lucas, sniffed the air and looked at me with piercing yellow eyes. He started growling and I backed up.
"G-good W-wolf. L-Lucas? D-don-n't hu-hurt me." He stopped and didn't growl. He trotted over to me. I crouched down, I know it was a bad idea, and petted him. He didn't do anything. Just panted.
Sophia's fox came over to me. She shifted back into human Sophia totally......totally naked.
"Blair. I'm sorry. I was going to tell-" Sophia said off. The rest of her words were cut off with an excruciating pain. I screamed and looked at my arm. Oh God!
There was a bite mark.
Lucas had bitten me!
