"You can't blame me for being merciless." Lucas declares. He is standing alone in the middle of the enemy and the pack. The enemies move fast towards him but Lucas hasn't cowered in the slightest. He is standing still as he calmly awaits the approaching danger.

I feel a sense of fear and worry coming from the pack. However, all of the pack members stay still as we all watch our alpha as he alone faces twenty thousand attacks at once.

Lucas slightly squints his eyes as if he is a little annoyed by the situation. Right now, in my eyes, he looks like a war-god waiting for tiny ants to arrive. My heart beats loudly as I stare at how glorious my mate looks like.

Suddenly, a terrifying and humongous amount of red and fiery aura burst out from him. He lifts his hand and faces it to the approaching wolves.

Soon, a shocking scene occurred before our very eyes.

Every time Lucas's palm faces the wolves, they immediately light up and scary fire engulfs them. Horrible howls and shrieks came from the alighted wolves before the tyrannical fire immediately burned them into ashes. This fire.. It looks like it has a life on its own. The moment the target died, it also extinguished itself. The only evidence that the fire occurred would be the black ground filled with ashes.

In just a matter of a few seconds, more than half of the wolves are already gone. Thousands of wolves died in a flash.

This.. it's a massacre.

"What!" The Alpha of the other side exclaims. Soon, most of the remaining wolves under him decide to run away for their lives. Their faces hold a very terrified expression.

"Running away? But today is the day you die." Lucas softly declares but every word he says is a dead sentence to thousands of lives. The enemy cannot help but to run away more desperately. However, how can Lucas take back his words? Immediately, those who were running are instantaneously engulfed by fire all at the same time. The surroundings are filled with red. The light coming from the fire is both chilling and terrifying.

Lucas is still standing in place. He didn't take one step and erased thousands of enemies. He looks very majestic with fire dancing around him. Like a king who rules over everything.

Just after a few minutes, all of the attackers, except their Alpha, are dead. He is so terrified that he long has dropped onto the ground shaking. Around him are only ashes that were left behind by his army.

"You! You're a monster!" He exclaimed. He looks like he is at the ends of his wits.

"I offered you protection. You decided your faith." Lucas replies with his usual nonchalant voice as if he did not just kill twenty thousand strong wolves.

"You're not a werewolf! The rumors are correct! You are a devil!" He is so scared that his body can't stop shaking.

"Then, it's your fault for not listening to the rumors." Lucas softly replies. "Now you have to die slowly." He adds.

Then, terrifying screams began.

Unlike the others, Lucas set him on fire very slowly. The fire started on his feet. It first engulfed his feet until the skin broke and blood came flowing. Soon the muscles were being burned. Then, the bones. When the feet became ashes, the fire slowly crept up to his legs, to his knees, and upwards. The whole process took fifteen minutes. The guy was barely conscious when the fire was on his waist. At the time, most of the other packs also came. They must have heard the shouts of the enemy earlier and came to check.

Lucas only moved when the skull turned into dust. Still, nobody else moved nor made a sound. Lucas softly sighs and turns to look at me. His expression is calm and his eyes are clear.

"Did I frighten you?" He softly asks me from afar as if he doesn't dare come close to me,

Did he frighten me?

His show of strength and the manner he killed them, isn't it...

beautiful?

"Lucas.. you're incredible." I answer him truthfully. My eyes probably light up with amazement.

I take fast steps towards him who still has not moved a step. When I am near him, I take his hand and examine his palm.

"This palm is very powerful." I tell him as I can't hide the excitement in my voice.

Lucas stays still as I examine his hand. How can he hide that much power in this hand? Can I also do it? I look at my own palm and close my eyes. Immediately, I feel the wind energy surrounding me.

I lift my own hand in the air and try summoning the wind. Blast of strong winds comes at my call right away. I try controlling it and spreading it around the area to sweep away the ashes on the ground. The area is big and Lucas burnt twenty thousands of corpses so it took me a while before I managed to cover the whole area.

"I cleaned up your mess." I chuckle to him.

Lucas looks a bit surprised before he chuckles too. Then, I am suddenly engulfed by his strong arms. He holds me close to his heart as he puts his head on my shoulder.

"You are the one who's incredible." He whispers to me as he holds me closer. Soon, I feel his lips on my neck.

"Not really. The field is huge and just sweeping it clean made me exhausted." I reply to him as I hug him back. It's true that the use of wind energy just now made me tired.

"Is that so? Then should I carry you in a quiet place so we can rest?" He asks me. His tone contains a hint of teasing.

"Rest? But every time you want to 'rest' you do something.. I mean. Let's just-" I shift my head towards the side before I feel my body suddenly freeze because I suddenly remember that, on all sides surrounding us, most of all the packs in the world are present and are currently watching us. Their faces contain weird expressions. This makes my whole body burn in embarrassment as I push Lucas away.

"Let's- ahem. I mean let's.. continue our lunch. Yeah." I manage to say before I run back to the side where our pack is waiting.
