Chapter Sixty-Four

I see brilliant red crystals once the barrier shatters.

Suddenly, I feel my heart skip a beat while Althea is petrified.

Erim.

It has been... a really long time. The last time that I've seen you...

I shake my head to clear my thoughts. No. We have no time to reminisce right now. True to my thoughts, an attack quickly came from the first elder. We jump and avoid it.

When the barrier broke, the first elder immediately realized that he was in danger and used his attack as a distraction to escape. He already covered a large distance when we landed on the ground.

Althea. I called on her and she willingly let me take over our body.

I shift fast and raise both of my hands to the direction of the first elder. Immediately, a terrifying tornado rushed into his direction. In a fraction of a second, blood splattered in all directions as the tornado cut the elder into tiny pieces.

Oh. I hear a majestic voice and see Erim obediently sitting in the corner as he watches me kill my enemy. However, he immediately shifts his eyes and angrily growls when he notices my bare body. With a blink of an eye, he grabs a cloak from the fourth elder who is wringing in pain and drapes it on my shoulders.

After doing so, however, he looks to the side and refuses to talk to me.

I chuckle and gently smile at him.

"Thank you, Erim." Althea and me speak with our combined voice as I raise my hand to hold his head while my eyes start to tear up.

Of course, our thank you is not only for saving us just now. It is also definitely not just for the cloak.

It is... for everything that he did for us.

He stiffens when I touch his fur but allows the contact while still refusing to look at me.

Erim did a "hmp" and stubbornly looked at the side. However, he couldn't hide the small tremble on his nose.

"AHHH!" Suddenly, a horrifying scream demands our attention.

I notice the fourth elder unconcealed by his cloak. I move near him and see a beautiful man with his body continuously convulsing from pain.

His skin is brown but fair and his hair is long jet black. Although wringing in pain, his face is still exquisite.

My heart skipped a beat yet again. His face is really familiar.

I rush to his side and hold his head. The dark energy is on the brink of consuming him. He will surely die if not saved within a few minutes. I hurriedly summon all of the wind energies and willing it to enter his body.

Little by little, the black energy is dragged out of his body.

It seems like he has been afflicted with black energy for a long time and it is almost impossible not to be fully consumed with it. That is why it is very remarkable that he fought against it and managed to retain his own will.

I smile. Such a remarkable child.

I feel my hand tremble as I gently hold his head. Erim who is beside me and Althea are also solemn.

"Moon goddess. I have one last request from you."

I look at her and gently touch my belly.

"When my body.. shatters.. can you save my children?" I murmur.

Moon goddess comes over me and also touches my still small belly.

"It is too soon to give birth to them. I will keep their souls intact and return them when the proper time arrives." Moon goddess replies.

"That is good. Thank you Moon goddess." I smile.

Slowly, the black magic evaporates from his body. His body slowly relaxes and his heart beat becomes stable.

When all of the black magic is gone from his body, his eyelids flutter open and his dark orbs gives me a look at me.

Beautiful orbs exactly like Lucas hold my stare.

I never saw him before, but my heart knows who exactly this beautiful man in front of me is.

My heart hurts in happiness as I carefully hold his hand.

I know exactly him who used to be a part of me.

"What is your name, child?" I smile at him.

A young woman asking a grown man this question is weird. But he seems to know and accept it as normal.

"I'm called Elliot." He whispers back as he looks into my eyes with understanding.
