Igniting You Is A Light Penalty

"Father." I whispered.

He visibly flinches when he hears my call. It's as if it is very disgusting for me to call him father.

"Father? You have the nerve to call me that?" My father replies with agitation. He is still standing in the middle of the room and looking like I am the most disgusting thing in the world.

Upon hearing him, Ethan finally wakes up from his self-made drama and adopts a serious expression. He also takes two steps forward to me, making the distance shorter.

My father, Wiley Elkins, gives Ethan a long look before shifting his gaze to me. Unexpectedly, the tips of his lips curl up as he gives me a mocking look.

"Thought you are so lucky with the Alpha, so now you are trying your luck with the elder's grandson?" He sneers at me.

Trying.. my luck?

Did he just say what I thought he did?

"The moment the Alpha went out, you already brought a man home?" My father hisses at me, confirming my suspicion. He really thought that I am cheating behind Lucas' back? This is just so.. I am speechless.

"This dirty thing is poisonous. I suggest you run away from her, young one." He tells Ethan with a self-righteous tone.

Not only is me, Ethan, who is behind me, also dumbfounded with what he heard. However, he recovers fast and lowly growls at my.. at the person who is supposed to be my father.

"Old man! How dare you speak like that to our Luna! Are you out of your mind?" Ethan shouts. He adopts a fighting stance and looks ready for a fight.

"Haha. Young man, you may be talented but you just recently had your first shift. I have more than enough years to send you home in one go." He proudly says. "Besides, I am doing you a huge favor. You wouldn't want to be related to that."

Right then, his eyes slowly turn black and he is on the verge of shifting himself.

"And this trash dared to hurt my daughter. Let us see how I put you in your place. I will bring you to the elder's council and petition them to punish you on the account of deceitfully attacking and heavily injuring my daughter. " He states like it is a matter of fact. Of course. Analise is the most important for him. He doesn't even let a mosquito bite her.

"This old guy! You look crazy and your laugh sounds like a maniac! You are not allowed within ten meters around our Luna!" Ethan exclaims as he walks in front of me.

"Luna? You think she is our Luna? She has no wolf. That means she has no mate. The Alpha is being deceived by that trash." My father replies and I can see that he is going to transform. His eyes turned all back and his fingers started growing. Suddenly, however, something wrong must have happened because his transformation seemed to pause.

His eyes are still black and his fingers are still longer than normal. But he didn't turn into a wolf. Also, he didn't revert to his original form. He seems to be stuck in the transformation stage.

"You are not allowed to shift. And also, it is how Ethan said. You are not allowed within ten meters from her." A new voice echoes in the old and rusty room.

A few seconds later, a shadow slowly walks near us until he is standing beside Ethan, covering me from my father's wrath.

However, confusion reigns in my head.

Ron? How come he is here. Did Lucas order him to secretly guard me? But Lucas.. he particularly hates Ron..

"Eh?! Brother Ron! Is that an actual order? I just really made that up!" Ethan exclaims. "Plus I am already guarding Lilly. There's no need for you to come out! Well.. maybe you can stay on the side and help me when that dirty minded old man is a lil bit powerful?"

"He's one of the most powerful warriors in our pack. Stand still in front of the Luna and protect her. Let me handle this." Ron tells him.

He is also my guard? And.. he even willingly called me Luna?

I narrow my eyes on the large back in front of me. It has been just a few days but there seems to be something very different from him. He seems more stoic, taller, and.. dignified?

Did Ron also take the gamma position from his father? That seems to be the explanation. Otherwise, he should not be powerful enough to put a gamma order over my father.

Also, isn't this very ironic?

The person who took the leadership in making my life hell is entrusting his back on me and shielding me from my own father.

Despite being stuck in his transformation stage, however, my father still has ways to hurt me.

"You even brought the gamma's son too? What a busy body you have." My father couldn't just be stopped. He really thought the worst when it comes to me. He just believes in the bottom of his heart that I am the dirtiest thing in the world.

"Your mind smells like disgusting sewers Old Man! I swear I will bake some cookies for you and sprinkle them with a cleaning solution to help you clean them a bit!" Ethan shouts back.

"Mind what you are sprouting if you don't want to be severely punished, Mr. Elkins. Slandering the Luna will bring you the jai--" Ron managed to say before he was interrupted.

All of us, in that very moment, must have stared to my father in shock.

I mean, no one wouldn't be shocked with this right?

My father, who was just standing proudly and arrogantly a few seconds ago, is now engulfed with flames.

The flame is not big nor was it small. It perfectly molds on his body and fits him like clothes from head to toe. The actual clothes he is wearing turns into dust in a matter of a second. His skin visibly becomes redder and redder before blood starts running from it.

However, the flame is suddenly gone just as fast as it came.

My father who was lit with fire fell on his knees. His body is naked and blood is dripping everywhere. The wounds don't seem too severe to be life threatening but he is visibly shaken up. His whole body is trembling uncontrollably and his eyes look like he just saw a demon.

Actually, aside from the fact that he is badly shaking and looks very terrorized, his wounds are just like the superficial wounds that Analise got this morning. It's just, he got wounds all over his body.

Just then, I feel a strong arm wrapped around my waist. My body is softly pulled into the hard chest behind me.

"Is this your room?" My mate's soft voice is near my ear. Lucas.. he's back. He.. did that to my father. And.. I actually don't feel bad for him..

"Ah? Ye-yes." I manage to reply to him.

Then, he completely ignores my burnt father, the stunned Ron, and Ethan who has his mouth and eyes wide open. Lucas holds my hand and gently pulls me into the room like we are just walking in the park.
