Chapter Fifty-Three

To hold the one you love the most is the happiest and most precious thing in the world. It is the most priceless treasure that one can possess.

This is the feeling that I have now.

I look at the beautiful face soundly sleeping next to me. I smile as I realize that the past few hours was something that I will cherish for my whole existence.

I remember the time when I used to hold my love like this. It has been so long. Time has changed everything I knew, but those moments are still deeply cherished within my heart.

It was not my intention to hold her until she remembers me. Until she remembers the love we had, the love we shared. But alas, Lilly's love, her touches and kisses sent myself out of my control.

"What are you doing, watching me like that?" I hear her beautiful voice. I look up and see two enchanting green eyes looking at me with amusement.

"You're awake?" I ask Lilly as I take her hand and place a kiss at the center of her palm.

"The mightiest Alpha, the royalty among werewolves, brought his mate to take her body near the lake." Lilly says as she raises her brow on me, her eyes twinkle mischievously as she mockingly teases me.

"It was a plus that the scenery is amazing, but my back hurts a bit from the ground. However, your skills are superb so overall it's amazing." Lilly says as she grabs my hand and toys with my fingers.

"But I am a bit disappointed since you seem to have no intention of touching me again right now." She confidently adds.

Soon, I find myself pushed on my back.

"Lilly?" I ask Lilly who is sitting on my stomach with my voice filled with uncertainty.

Lilly put her finger on my lips to stop me from speaking. "Hush. You call everyone slowpokes, but it seems you are becoming one too." She whispers until she bends down and kisses me passionately.

After a few moments, my mind is still muddled by her kisses when I see her standing up gloriously in her birthday suit. I am definitely rendered speechless as I see her slowly put clothes on her amazing body.

My shy mate.. why is she acting like this?

It's not that I disapprove of this.. I actually enjoy every fraction of this very moment.

However, maybe I am eyeing Lilly too much since her skin suddenly starts to flush red. I was about to comment on it when I felt something thrown on my face.

"Dress up. The entire body of werewolves is waiting for you, your highness." She tells me with a wink before she confidently strolls out of the barrier I made. Amazingly, the barrier wasn't broken or even interrupted in the least.

Normally, one would need to shatter the barrier forcefully before being able to get out of it. My barrier is the strongest in the world. The only one who can break into my barrier that gracefully.. it's only her.

Can it be?

I hastily put on my clothes and broke my barrier before running to where Lilly went. Amazingly enough, she isn't anywhere that I can see.

Lilly has no physical ability to move that fast. My heart beat faster as I think of the possibility as to why she moved so quickly.

Can it really be?

I run at my fastest speed to the location where the werewolves are gathered.

There I see Lilly who is brimming with confidence as she walks to where the alphas are scattered and talking in small groups. Tristan is faster and comes in front of her to greet her.

"Luna." He welcomes Lilly and gives her a respectful nod.

I just dazedly watch as my beautiful mate slowly pulls up the corners of her lips and gives Tristan an astounding smile.

"Hello, Tristan. Thank you for everything. Good work." Lilly's voice sounds so magical as she greets and praises him. Tristan is just as dumbfounded as me as he stays frozen in place.

My amazing mate gives him a small nod and continues to walk near the alphas.

"If in this war the main defense is as disorganized as you, it wouldn't be surprising if we will lose in the first encounter." Lilly confidently declares. Her voice was not amplified and she spoke softly but she used the wind to bring her voice into each and everyone's ears. Thus, everyone in the field clearly heard her.

"I suggest that everyone gathers this instant. The werecouncil should stop concealing their auras and join us. We will be discussing the important matters in this war." Lilly announces. This time, the authority in her voice cannot be mistaken.

The authority in her voice is something that is much more imposing than the Alpha voice. It is capable of forcing even the Alphas into submission. I can clearly see the alphas with their surprised gazes.

This voice, the only creature who can do this..

And her aura, the aura which makes everyone want to kneel before her.

It's only her who possesses this power.

The beginning of the werewolves..

My feet move as fast as the lightning as I quickly approach her and grab her into my arms before giving her a fierce kiss.

Luna.. Luna, my love.

My wife..

You are back.. finally..

I hold into her fiercely as I feel her gently returns my kisses and embrace.

My wife.. my wife.. Luna

My emotions are becoming more and more uncontrollable as I hold her tighter. I never want to let her go.

I never want to let go of my wife who is finally back.

However, she doesn't seem to think the same as I feel her push me slightly and turn her face away.

"Alpha, we have to conduct a meeting. I also want to hold you, but the matters at hand must be concluded as soon as possible. We already stalled so much time." She softly whispers to my ear as she chuckles and pats my head in front of the dumbfounded look of everyone.
