At last, the City of Love right in front of my own eyes, without the love at the end of it
The last time I went here, we were so happy with my partner, he was a baker and I was a painter
I thought I could never go back to the place where the perfect love story ended
While I was painting the Eiffel Tower, you had another lover
I flew from Australia just to meet you, but you left me with nothing
A girl from Sydney just got cheated from the irresistible boy from Paris
Enough with the towns and cities, I'll just conclude that romantic love isn't a necessity.

With my bonnet and long coat with dark sophisticated sunglasses
Walking by the Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, Bakeshops and Wineries
Reminisced everything that made me fall in love with you in the past

But I've moved on or forward that I tried to pass by maturely
But the fragrance of France that left my mouth out in the open...

The smell of the croissant that you have baked for breakfast
Flew into my nose without notice and make me go through the past
The fight, the morning, the day I've left you alone with my unfinished painting of the Eiffel Tower.

And I leaned back, wiped my tears, and find the scent of the bread you baked
But all I witnessed was your Croatian girlfriend sitting beside the counter
I see that both of you stood up a bakeshop, in front of the flowershop where we first met
Along with the alley of memories that my gallery was just around the corner.

I guess the fragrance of France was just around to haunt me again in the City of Love.
