Meet Magenta 👠

Walking the dark alley, safety is led astray
Passed by adulterers and their coarse ashtrays
Brawly beer and having drunkard dreams
What a tragedy for an innocent lady.

Whistles and name-calling
'Baby girl' or 'Another victim of deflowering'
The tarpaulin marquee and erotic meetings
Tried to careened slowly and surely
But their lustful thoughts and temptations cannot be set aside easily.

The secluded warehouse and their fetish for students
Teetered their disgusting tongues, they were not men they're monsters
Condescending phrases and their red dragon tattoos
The begging and scowls were far from enough
Her screams and coughs and their torturing laughs
The horrendous fireworks display, forced her appetite for semen
How can the society ignore this?

Parents shouting for justice, men offering children with candies
Meet Magenta, she's one of them
Raped and killed
Taped and sealed.

Taught women to dress properly
How about this?
Teach men to think properly
A filipiniana or revealing clothes wore in the bars of Manila
No one cares as long as they have a vagina
A Lesbian or a straight woman, they don't care because they have erotomania
No respect nor even confessed their sins to Jehovah
Dozens of cold bodies and a path through a pit of lava
Poor Magenta, a honor student and a breadwinner
But still have a horrible death with merciless killers.

Antsy lusts and their horny cusses
Body in a cold compartment, cryonic but for salacious purposes
Coup d'etat of temptations
Fascism of orgasms
Despotic, possessive, and awfully obnoxious
Magenta may you rest in peace but I know that's not what you wanted.

Black Flamingos 🖤

Emotional train wreck
My sunken shipwreck and the love that they left
Respect to us will always be buried with havoc
Appalling judgements, impaling statements
Eye to eye, celadon against onyx
Deacon of hope with dementia, dwindled trust in the police with violent emotions
Eccentric hypocrites, it doesn't mean I'm black that you're allowed to kill me.

An effigy of brutality, declined movements and bloody pavements
Erudite scholars, fatigued mouths doesn't deserve silence
Worked so much to spread truth and rights that needs to be licensed
Fundamental brain cells is all we need to make you understand
That color doesn't define importance and my existence is well refined
Equal rights is vague but imminent.

We just need to stop the macabre gunshots and noxious flash-bangs
You deserve impeachment for your perjury
You need to go to school again with your prejudices and verdicts
It's clearly transgression with all of your neglecting
But our voice is profuse, fusing the bomb of equity
Your ancient mind and putrid brain, rotting the country who doesn't deserve it
We're free once again, fight for equality and not for vengeance
Humans are restorative, they just need to undergo through a slumber of wise encouragement.

Black flamingos swimming in a lake of sinkholes
Shot by hunters with a heart so cruel
I pray you won't suffer no more
We'll get the equality that we've been trying to fight for
God is retroactive, so thoughtful, that's why we love him
Race will no more be a tinderbox of judgements
Like how we Filipinos are the black flamingos of Asia.

Neck of both flamingos, black and white
Writhed together with peace and kind
More than sizable love and respect
Let's pray that we are going to be equal by color and we'll be respected more than we ever expect.
