We ended up staying up in the wee hours of the morning, once again telling stories as we sat next to the fire. At some point, John had gotten up to see if he could find some old copies of childhood pictures, and he came back with some in hand.

"This one," he said as he grabbed a photo and wrapped his arm around me. I willingly snuggled close to him. "Is me and one of my school friends trying out a cool photo trick I found out."

"That's so cool looking," I breathed as I ran my fingers over the picture

"That's so cool looking," I breathed as I ran my fingers over the picture. John looked so small then, although in the picture he looked at least 10 feet taller than the other boy.

"Yeah. I miss him, however. He was one of my few good friends."

"I understand," I trailed off, not really understanding...

He stretched out and yawned, pulling me into a hug afterwards. "I can't believe you love me," he muttered, seeming as if he was talking more to himself.

"I liked you since I first layed eyes on you," I whispered in his ear.

"Oh, so now it's just mutual like?" he asked, pretending to be heartbroken. "Oh, why? Why do this to me, love?"

I couldn't help but giggle. "You know what I meant," I tittered as I cuddled even closer to him and yawned.

"Someone's sleepy," John cooed at me.

"It is only what?-" I stoled a quick glance at his watch- "3 in the morning." Tears started to fill my eyes as I yawned again. "I'm allowed to be sleepy now."

"Do you want to go sleep on a bed, or stay here where it's warm?" he prompted, playing with my hair.

"I feel as if I have no choice but to stay here," I yawned once more as I tried to cuddle closer to him to no avail. I just wanted him to be even closer than we were already.

I leaned my head against his chest, hoping that'll be close enough. I could feel his heartbeat grow faster and faster as he layed onto the couch's arm, getting comfortable. Then he started to play with my hair again, which seemed to calm him down a bit, for his heartbeat slowed down. I couldn't help but feel sleepy from his touch, and eventually I couldn't keep my eyes open.

"Goodnight, (Y/N)," was all I heard before I fell into a deep slumber.

I woke up to the smell of pancakes, eggs, and bacon cooking, along with the smell of hot coffee.

I sat up, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. Then I stretched out, making an inhumane noise. I stood up, fixing a couch a bit then walked into the kitchen.

"'Ello," John smiled as he dished up a pile of pancakes onto a plate that looked like it was on its last leg. "Did you sleep good?"
