Kyle wondered if Dan was serious, trying to push the thought out but it came back when they had lunch, breakfast and dinner.
There was an awkward silence as they ate dinner. Dan broke it. "Kyle, get dressed. We have to go somewhere" he said after he finished, he was already dressed.
It wasn't an awkward car drive, Kyle liked surprises so he didn't ask where they were going. He just turned the radio on and they sung the songs they knew.
They stopped at a drive in, Kyle's favourite. It proved more on the proposal thing because Dan hated the place but he didn't say a word about his dislike.
Driving to the park, they ate their dessert in silence with their hands held together. Dan stood up and turned to Kyle, dropping to his knee.
"Kyle, I'm sorry that this isn't romantic enough. Most people thought you'll be the one to do this and you would have been better at it. I'm trying to say it but it's kind of hard and you might reject me. Kyle Jonathan Simmons, will you.." He trailed off, before ending his sentence "marry me?"
Kyle raised an eyebrow and Dan frowned, "I knew this was too early. I'm so--" "OBVIOUSLY!" Kyle irrupted Dan and kissed him.
