i saw him today
between the reflection
of the glass screen
and the mirror that showcased
my disheveled hair.
i wasn't planning on meeting
anyone.
yet he stood in the top corner
of my screen with those sweet glasses
and thick blonde hair
that made my heart
stop its beating.
his smile was white like cotton
when the fields are abundant with
it in the fall.
my entire world stopped when
our eyes met through that camera.
the speaker no longer spoke,
the people around us froze in their
squares and
I raised my eyebrows, probably
blushing as I finally drew myself back.
I figured he lived thousands
of miles from my home, or
in my imagination.
yet he lived probably five minutes
from me and studies under
the enemy program.
but his soft smile and his deep eyes
make me forget all of those things.
all of the petty high school issues
and the stupid music theory
assignments I despise.
all that's left is the memory of
him and the way he smiled into his
camera.
I smile just thinking about it.
is this my future?
is this happiness going to stay?
I sure hope so.written on: november 17th, 2020

about .2 seconds. you're very wonderful
and insanely gorgeous. I'm glad we like
the same thing :)
