"Hey guys!" I said as I sat down at the Gryffindor table.
"Hey!" Everyone said.
"Ginny, congrats on being sorted into Gryffindor!" I excitedly said.
"Thanks." She said plainly.
...
"Did you hear the basilisk is going around?" Fred said.
"Don't worry about it. Everyone will be fine." I said.
"But what if they aren't." George said trying to freak me out.
"You can't freak me out about this. I have to go study."
"You're already the smartest in our year! Come hang out with us!" Fred said.
"If I want to stay the smartest I have to study. I'll see you guys later." I walked to the library and stayed there for a few hours. Before I knew it, it was curfew. I rushed to the bathroom before heading to the common room. While I washed my hands I heard something behind me. I looked in the mirror to see behind me, and saw something big slither pass.
"Oh my God." I said.
Everything went black.
...
"She's waking up!"
"Josie?" I heard George say softly.
"Mmh." I mumbled. "What?" I said softly and groaned.
"Josie, how do you feel?" George asked quickly.
"Fine. Why?" I said a little groggily.
"You got petrified." Fred said.
"I what!? How long have I been out?" I asked quickly.
"5 months." George said softly.
"What!? It's May!"
"But you're okay now! Everyone is." Fred said.
"What happened?"
After George explained everything to me we went to the great hall for the end of the year feast.
