∞ Afternoon, Inside the Impala ∞
"You guys probably missed something that's what" Dean pointed out as he drove
" Dean, there was nothing on the local police reports nor the newspapers" said Ethan
" I ran LexisNexis and I didn't find a single red flag. Are you sure you got the coordinates right? " asked Sam
" Yeah, I double checked. It's Fitchburg, Wisconsin. Dad wouldn't have sent us the coordinates if it wasn't important Sammy" Dean looked at the rearview mirror "Ethan"
"Well we're trying to tell you that all we could find was a whole steamy pile of nothing" Sam said, frustrated. " If Dad's sending us hunting for something I don't know what"
" Well maybe he's going to meet us there" said Dean
" Yeah, cause he's been so easy to find up to this point"
" You're a real smart ass you know that?" Dean paused, " I'm sure there's something in Fitchburg worth killing"
" What makes you so sure? " asked Ethan as he leaned on the backrest of the front seats.
"Cause I'm the oldest, which means I'm always right" reasoned Dean
" No it doesn't" "It definitely does not" San and Ethan countered in unison
" It totally does"
Dean glanced at his brothers before looking back at the road with a little grin on his face.
Ethan saw the sign; Fitchburg, population : 20, 501
∞ Later, Fitchburg main street ∞
Ethan was leaning against the Impala staring at an almost empty play ground. Dean and Sam walked across the street, carrying coffees, to their brother who looked like he was in thought and sad at the same time.
"Well the waitress thinks the local freemasons are up to something sneaky but other than that no one's heard about anything freaky going on" said Dean as he gave Ethan a coffee.
" I talked with some customers. Still nothing " Sam said
"Guys what time is it?" asked Ethan as he took a sip of his coffee
Dean looked at his watch, " Ten after Four, why?"
"I thought my watch broke but It was right" Ethan looked at the play ground " How come there's only one child playing? School's out isn't it?"
" Yeah" said Sam
" So where is everybody? This place should be crawling with kids right now" Ethan pointed out
Dean saw a woman and started walking towards her, his brothers following behind.
Ethan split off and sat next to the little girl on the swing.
"Sure is quiet out here" said Dean to the woman who was reading a magazine
"Yeah, it's a shame"
The little girl looked at Ethan
"Hey there" he waved at her " My name's Ethan, what's yours?" he asked.
"Cassandra" the little girl said with a small wave.
" Why're you playing alone? Where are your friends?" he asked as he started to swing
" I don't know but one of my friends got really sick the other day" she said
" Oh hopefully they get better, do you want me to push you?"
"Yes please" Cassandra smiled as Ethan stood up behind her and gently pushed her.
