We were kicked out of Bryce's room for another round of testing. The doctor was surprised by his sudden movement and activity, and wanted to see if there were any new changes.

This time we had a really good feeling that he would be waking up, so we called just about everyone who we could get in here. My father and Tim were here, leaving Kenzie with a close friend as they didn't want her exposed to any of this. Josh, Quinn, Jaden, Mads, Griffin and Dixie were also all able to make it. Tayler, Lisa and I were still also still around, never losing hope as Lisa always reminded us.

As we all sat in the waiting room, we watched a movie on the tv, anything to try to distract us.. but I was beyond antsy. No matter how much I tried to focus on the television, I couldn't. I constantly looked at the time, waiting for the two hours to be up.

As the doctor walked into the waiting room after what felt like an eternity, I was the first one to stand up, going directly to him. The movie in the room was paused and we all stood in silence, waiting for him to speak. "Give us good news, please doc!" I heard my father say as he stood behind me, his hand landing on my shoulder for support.

He took a deep breath before smiling at us. "I know I never lost faith, but it is always difficult for the families to have the same mentality.. your boy is awake! He is up!" I felt my heart stop for a second as I dropped to the floor in tears. But this time, they were happy tears. Tim pulled me up into his arms as he hugged me, "I told you Addi, I told you he would never give up!!" I nodded as I hugged him, right now being the most amazing feeling I have had in the past thirteen days.

"He seems to be doing well, but we of course won't know the true effects of his accident until he begins to have interactions once again. He was a bit confused upon waking up, but that's nothing too abnormal!" My baby was awake and he was doing well.. I couldn't ask for anything more.

"We don't want to overwhelm him, so we just ask that you guys go in two at a time, or one by one.." We heard the doctor say. I turned to Lisa who was still crying in my fathers arms. She offered me to be the first to visit Bryce, but she was his mother.. I couldn't take that away from her. She was right by my side everyday suffering just as much as I was, if not more. She deserved to go in first.

"Go ahead, he should be greeted by his momma first!" I said, hugging her. She thanked me before leaving, wiping her tears on the way out.

I smiled as I took a seat, finally feeling like I could relax for once. It had been a long and dreadful last couple of days, but this was the moment I had been waiting for. Everyone hugged me, sharing their kind words of encouragement. Even though I felt like I had just received the most amazing news, we all did.. every single person in this room was rooting for him just as much as I was.

I laid in a hospital bed, my head feeling like it was spinning. I had never felt this way before.. I felt completely exhausted but at the same time so well rested. The doctor had explained to me that I was in a terrible car accident that left me in a coma for thirteen days. I was asleep for fucking thirteen days..

I don't know how I got here.. I don't remember the accident or the night of the accident even. But what I do remember, is every single moment of those thirteen days in a coma. I remember hearing voices but not being able to connect the voices to faces, except for a few. I recognized my mother's voice of course along with Tayler's, but everyone else was a blur.

I tried hard to recognize them, but I failed each day. There was one voice that stuck out to me though, one voice that had me completely mesmerized. It was a female voice, one that I would hear every morning, night and every minute in between.
