CHAPTER FIVE
Just A Little Closer

Izuku woke up purring. His omega basking in a calming pheromone they knew so well. He opened his eyes to meet Todoroki-kun's bicolored eyes. His eyes wide, as if he's been caught.

Todoroki-kun gulped, placing his finger to his lips, stopping Izuku from opening his mouth. Todoroki-kun leaned, his face so close to Izuku, Izuku is sure, it's not just his alpha scent he's smelling. He slowly gathered the bundle of grey curls from Izuku, letting Izuku slide and leave the warmth of Eri-chan's bed.

Izuku's eyes found the digital clock in Eri-chan's bedside table, as Todoroki-kun is placing Eri-chan back to bed. 12:39 AM. He must've fallen asleep too, after reading Eri-chan to sleep. Eri-chan was sprawled on Izuku, her small hands gripping Izuku's neck. While Izuku fell asleep with his wrists near Eri-chan's neck. Izuku's guessing, Todoroki-kun tried to scent Eri-chan, but scented Izuku in the process as well.

The both of them smiled awkwardly to each other. Izuku finally takes Todoroki-kun's full form. He's in his pajamas, white shirt and a checkered pjs. And he's wearing round eyeglasses. Izuku gulped. Todoroki Shouto is a beautiful man, everyone knows that. Ever since his high school days, Todoroki-kun's known to be one of the prettiest faces in UA. And now, years later, Todoroki-kun became mature, his face a face of a successful alpha, his body bigger and his pheromones stronger.

And boy, if Izuku's omega isn't salivating right now, there's probably something wrong with them.

Todoroki-kun's eyes travelled Izuku's disheveled look. Izuku's hair unruly, his mouth agape from staring at Todoroki-kun, his eyes dilated. His oversized shirt- probably thrice bigger than he is. And his shorts, hidden by his shirt, making his pale legs clearer in Todoroki-kun's eyes. Unconsciously, Todoroki-kun wet his lower lip, his eyes hungry, staring at the omega in front of him.

Izuku's wide eyes widen, if that is possible. Todoroki-kun took a step, only to be halted when they heard Eri-chan purred, turning in her sleep. They blinked looking at each other, Izuku letting out the breath he didn't know he was holding. Todoroki-kun turned to Eri-chan, scenting her some more, his tension finally easing up. Izuku smiled at him, eyes gesturing at the door after they tucked Eri-chan to sleep, finally.

They stood there outside Eri-chan's room, side by side. Their backs to the door, as if they are afraid of opening the door once more, scared to be back at the moment they had a while ago.

"I- Uhm..." Izuku really tried, but his mind kept going back to the room, with the tension in the air, their bodies five feet apart. He opened his mouth to talk, but no words were coming out. He closed his eyes in frustration, counting his breath. He needs to calm down.

The omega in him whined. Izuku thought to himself, shut up.

"Do you want some tea, Midoriya?" Todoroki-kun said, breaking the silence and the tension in Izuku. Izuku heaved a sigh, opening his eyes. He turned to Todoroki-kun, the alpha still looking forward, gulping hard.

Izuku thought of releasing some calming pheromones, but with what happened inside, he thought otherwise. It may become more dangerous if he does that.

Instead, Izuku chuckled. "Sure. Do you mind a cacao tea?" Todoroki-kun finally turns to him, then nods. "Let me make it for us." he declared.

"Then, I'll wait at the veranda." the alpha announced, finally smiling.

Izuku nodded, dragging his feet to the kitchen.

The view from the veranda of the Todoroki's mansion is majestic. They can clearly see the sky from their seats, the stars scattered on the night sky. Only their peaceful breathing can be heard. The scent of the cacao tea calms them more.
