Burnt Cinnamon Apple Pie

Izuku is panicking.

He didn't know why he needed to realise this. He didn't know why he needed to feel this. He didn't even know how .

The first time, Izuku is sure it's because of the calming pheromones. I mean, who's omega wouldn't feel festive when a door opened and you were embraced by a strong calming pheromone of an alpha? Izuku is a hundred percent sure then, it was just the pheromones.

But then, the nightly calls happened. It was for Eri-chan, Izuku always reminded himself. It was because Eri-chan wouldn't sleep without hearing him sing. It was all Eri-chan. Izuku is always, always telling himself, the alpha from the other line is chuckling- laughing- snickering- because of his child. And, not because of Izuku.

Then the second time happened. Again, Izuku blamed his omega and the alpha's pheromones. He woke up to an alphan pheromone, his omega rejoices. That's all on their presentation. It's not on Izuku, it shouldn't be on Izuku.

Then his last straw happened. The nightly talks. The listening to his ramblings. The efforts to become a better father to his children. The calming pheromones every time something happens. The little blushes, even the big blushes. The smiles. The chuckles. The laughter. The bicolored eyes. The stares.

Todoroki Shouto.

Todoroki Shouto happened. And Izuku realises that he's having a big, fat crush on his boss.

Basically, Todoroki-kun is his boss. Izuku's taking care of his children, and Todoroki-kun pays him. And Izuku just happened to develop a crush on his boss. That's not the only reason why he's panicking. He's in a panic, because:

One, Todoroki-kun is an alpha. Not even a beta has the guts to like Izuku. So, really? Izuku got the bravery of feeling for an alpha? Is he a masochist? Or just plain idiot?

Two, Todoroki-kun is... well, older. By six years. Surely, age doesn't matter. But experience in life does. Older alphas like omegas on their age bracket, and that is according to studies. It's not like Izuku is sure that Todoroki-kun would develop a crush on him, too. He's just stating facts... of what ifs.

Three, Todoroki-kun was married. I mean, would a widow try to find another person to like? After losing the person they decided to spend the rest of their life with? The fact that Todoroki-kun had loved and promised a lifetime for someone was a hundred points taken from Izuku. Todoroki-kun had someone he loved. You can't just replace someone from someone's heart.

Four, Todoroki-kun got kids. Well, Eri-chan likes him. The twins seem to accept him... as a person. But, Izuku don't think they'll want their father to have another partner. And Izuku cannot help but think that the kids wouldn't like the idea of Todoroki-kun replacing their mom. It's not certain that Izuku would replace their mom, but... the kids would get hurt, if that ever happens.

And last but not the least. Five, Izuku is panicking because Eri-chan knows.

The little devil- the little kid heard Mei earlier in the office. Izuku was in a daze as he kept remembering Todoroki-kun's smiles from last night. Izuku just can't help but cherish it from his memories. After what happened with Katsu last week, Todoroki-kun finally smiled last night. It was worth being in a daze for. And Mei of course noticed it, and decided to tease Izuku because the older omega kept on noticing Izuku's tiny, happy smiles whenever they were talking about Todoorki-kun. And Izuku is dumb enough to turn red to confirm Mei's suspicion. In front of Eri-chan.

And now, the little devil is doing nothing but pester him about his crush.

"What did you like most about Daddy, Izu-kun?"
