CHAPTER FIFTEEN
A Little Too Many

Shouto watched the three kids as they busied themselves on Eri's station in his office. Summer had started, so the kids were free. Originally, they are supposed to be at home, doing whatever they are doing right now. But Midoriya got called up at school, he needs to present his thesis topic before writing it finally.

Before, Eri would be the only one Shouto needs to think about, if ever her babysitter became unavailable. Since, the twins love locking themselves in the entertainment room, playing together, not really caring if they are guarded by a babysitter or a sidekick. Hence, Shouto would just make one of his sidekicks look out for Eri for the day, and once he's home, he'll be in charge.

But when Midoriya came into picture, it all changed. The kids, especially Eri, don't like being watched over by sidekicks anymore. She's brave and old enough- according to her- to tell Shouto that she wants Daddy to look after her. And don't get Shouto started about the twins. They always wanted to be with everyone every time now. Tagging along wherever Midoriya at Eri go.

Plus, Midoriya told Shouto that he needs to be the one to take care of his kids. Open up first so the kids will do so in return. That's why they are all here, holed up in his office.

Don't get him wrong. It's not a bad thing. To be completely honest, Shouto never thought he'd be this close to the twins again. Since, after they lost Aki, all of them closed up. So, Shouto never once dreamed that he'll be with his kids at his office, smiling at their silliness.

He can't help but think, if Midoriya hadn't come into their lives, would they ever come to this?

Shouto's afraid, he doesn't know how to be a dad since he never really saw an image of someone good. And he doesn't want to be like his father, as well. When Aki had gone, he didn't know where to start. They were lost for so many years, closing up to themselves, and probably, somehow, forgotten that they are family.

When Midoriya came, it all changed to three hundred sixty. They even learned to talk about their issues, addressing it and trying to solve it. It was a complete turn- freeing themselves from themselves.

Shouto cannot help but be amused by how much a single person with a muttering mess can make their lives like this. Midoriya is something else.

Shouto is smiling to himself when the door to his office opens. Yaoyorozu Momo, Pro-Hero Creati, was there, peeking inside. She was a classmate from high school and Shouto's closest friend as of the moment- his bestfriend. She frowned at Shouto, when she saw the smile he was wearing. Shouto lifted his right eyebrow in return.

Momo snorted, getting into the room. She first went to the kids, greeting them. The three of them beamed, shouting "Auntie Momo!" all together. Eri leaped into her arms and kissed her cheeks, Momo smiled, purring happily as she nuzzled Eri's hair. Katsu smiled and gave Momo a kiss on her cheeks, Kouri doing the same.

"Are you feeling alright, Kouri?" Shouto heard Momo. He instantly became attentive, his eyes following Kouri at once, checking if there is something wrong with him. Shouto released a calming pheromone, Katsu and Momo- an alpha as well- felt it and looked at him. Katsu gave him a confused look while Momo only smiled.

Shouto only calmed down when Kouri purred, basking in his calming pheromones. Eri purred in unison, as well. Kouri smiled at Momo, telling her "Yes Auntie, I just feel tired."

"Must be because of staying up late last night again." Momo teased, poking Kouri's nose. Kouri only laughed as an answer.

After greeting the kids, Momo went to Shouto. She smiled, kissed his cheeks hello and turned to the kids as well. The both of them watching the three as they play with each other. "This is new." Momo started, smiling. Shouto only hummed. "A lot of things feel different." she added, her eyes glancing at Shouto for a few seconds before returning to the kids again.
