CHAPTER FOURTEEN
Perfect Day

How does one say they are having a perfect day?

Growing up, Izuku rarely have better days, let alone good days. When his friends found out that he's quirkless, they decided they didn't want to play with Izuku anymore. They started taunting Izuku, and started calling him useless. Kids don't like playing with weak playmates, they thought it made them weak, too. So, Izuku grew up alone, observing people and trying, still trying, to stand up to his bullies. Because Izuku wanted to be a hero, at least for himself.

Kacchan, Bakugou Katsuki, Pro-Hero Ground Zero now, is an older boy who lives in the same neighborhood and is Izuku's only friend. He got to know the blonde in third grade, while Kacchan was only starting in UA. Unlike any other friendship, theirs started on pure admiration. Izuku's eyes will always catch the blonde rash behavior. Kacchan was known for his rough manners. He was known as the only kid that passed UA in his grade. So of course, he's got a bit of an attitude.

That didn't stop Izuku from watching the hero-hopeful. Kacchan may be rash- since he calls Izuku, Deku, which Kacchan says means useless, and he always shouts at Izuku, too- but Izuku is his first fanboy. Izuku loves hearing stories about UA. Kacchan may think he's just humoring Izuku, trying to show him he'll never be a hero- boasting, but for Izuku, Kacchan is telling him stories since Kacchan knew he loves heroism.

It was short-live though, their happy peaceful days. When Izuku found out he's an omega, he started avoiding the hero-hopeful. Kacchan is an alpha. And Izuku was drowning with thoughts that tells him, alpha's is superior, and Izuku is a lower being , that means he's not allowed to be friends with Kacchan.

When the incident happened and Persona , Shinsou Hitoshi's underground hero nickname, saved him, Kacchan was one of the few people that was beside Izuku at the hospital in an instant. The older alpha cried then, asking Izuku why he didn't say anything and promised Izuku, that if he needs to kill, he'll kill those bastards. Izuku truly believes that's when their closeness grew so much more.

So, yeah. Izuku's life has been full of ups and downs- probably more downs. He's never asked for better days anymore. Good days will be enough for him.

But when Todoroki Shouto woke up after a gruesome villain fight, and smiled at Izuku, told Izuku Izuku had saved Hero Shoto and wished him a happy birthday, Izuku knew then what a perfect day is like.

And the day has just started.

Izuku woke up when he felt Todoroki-kun moved. Izuku's eyes opened and met Todoroki-kun's bicolored eyes at once. "Hi." the alpha greeted.

When the kids fell asleep last night, Izuku immediately called Kacchan, asking him to let him see hero Shoto. It was a bit of work, but Kacchan made it. When he's found Todoroki-kun earlier, his body is cold, there are some bruises on his skin but the doctor said he's fine all over and only his temperature needs to be watched closely.

Izuku is a crybaby, he's said that nth time already. So when he saw Todoroki-kun cold, because of refusing something that is his, he cried. Izuku weep, while the alpha is asleep. Izuku is worried, scared shitless and angry all at the same time. And everything came rushing down with his tears. "Why didn't you use your fire immediately?" He asked at once, worriedly. "You- you could've gotten-" Izuku closed his eyes, his tears escaping his it as he trailed off. He cannot say the words.

Todoroki-kun could've gotten what? Worst? Killed? Izuku cannot imagine a world without the alpha.

Todoroki-kun smiled a little, his left arm reaching out to Izuku, wiping his cheeks with his thumbs, "I was scared... angry... confused." He answered. Izuku leaned into his touch, his hand warm as he caressed Izuku's skin. "You saved me, Midoriya." he meaningfully said. "Thank you."
