Yours

"Do you know why Katsu doesn't want to use his quirk?"

Todoroki-kun stilled, his right hand getting colder by the second, and his left hand that he's using to tend to Izuku's burn, stopped midair.

A few minutes after Katsu ran and left them at the park, Izuku and the rest of the Todorokis decided that it's best to go home. Izuku needs to tend to his burns, too. Eri-chan was asleep as they walked back home, and Todoroki-kun and Kouri were silent.

Izuku studied them, the tension and the worry visible on their faces.

Izuku looked back to what happened. He can hear Katsu's words inside his head, "This meddlesome, useless, quirkless omega.". And if he would be honest, he's not... hurt, per say. He saw Katsu's eyes when he said that- as if he's not seeing Izuku. Katsu wanted to say so much more- and the words are not for Izuku, and Izuku saw that. Katsu's trying to cover whatever he wanted to say by lashing out at Izuku. Because, he's... the look on his eyes- the young alpha was- is scared, and Izuku is worried. What is he so scared of?

"I think he doesn't like his quirk." Todoroki-kun said simply. The emotionlessness back in his eyes.

Izuku titled his head to the side, peeking at Todoroki-kun, "Do you know why he doesn't like his quirk?"

"It's not his quirk." the alpha mumbled, and Izuku caught that but he decided to stay silent. Izuku waited, he knew Todoroki-kun had something to say.

This issue about their quirks and whatever happened to their family, there is so much more there is. Izuku's omega is tugging at him- of course, Izuku wanted to ask questions, too. It's not just his omega.

He himself wanted to help this family, too. He's only been with them for less than two weeks, but he loves this family. He cares for them.

"We have the same quirk." Todoroki-kun added, his eyes still emotionless. He's not meeting Izuku's stares as he busies himself in wrapping the omega's burnt hands. "We got it from my old man."

Todoroki Enji- Endeavor, Izuku remembered. The former number one hero. An alpha. His quirk- hellflame.

That's right, Todoroki-kun would get his other quirk from his father. His ice probably from his mother. And now, Katsu...

"I don't... really like my old man's quirk, too." Izuku frowned at himself as he listened. Todoroki-kun kept on working with his burnt hands, still refusing to look at him. "It's destructive, it was hurtful. It was..." the alpha trailed off, the emotionlessness gone from his eyes.

Izuku saw it again. Todoroki-kun has the same scared eyes as Katsu.

They are scared...

"Midoriya..." Todoroki-kun said, letting go of his hands, meeting Izuku's eyes, finally . "I'm sorry... because of me, Katsu got that quirk too, and now you're hurt. I'm sure Katsu didn't mean to hurt you."

Izuku knows that more than anyone. He had received hate all his life because he's a useless quirkless omega. He knew it by voice alone if someone meant it to hate him. He can see if they really hate Izuku.

And Katsu doesn't hate him. The young alpha's just... confused and hurt and scared. And what's important for Izuku is, Katsu doesn't hate him.

Izuku blinked at the alpha, "Why don't you like your quirk, Todoroki-kun?" he asked softly.

"It's not mine," Todoroki-kun declared. "It's my father's." This is the first time Izuku heard that voice on Todoroki-kun. His voice full of anger, his eyes furious, but sad all at the same time. "I managed just fine without using my old man's powers. I'm sure Katsu would find a way, too."
