You Need Saving, Too

Chapter Thirteen

CHAPTER THIRTEEN
Hero Shoto

Izuku trembled, his eyes stinging and there's a big lump on his throat. He wanted to do something- he needs to do something .

Izuku hears Eri-chan crying, and Kouri is trying to soothe her. Katsu was busy emitting strong calming pheromones for everyone. Izuku wanted to release his calming pheromones too, but he can't.

Izuku stood there, in the seating area, eyes fixed on the television as it showed a live telecast of a villain attack. Izuku's trembling- he didn't know which part of him was, but he's trembling. He bit his lip to stop himself from whimpering.

On the television was Hero Shoto. Half of his body was covered in ice. The camera was too far, but Izuku can see him trembling- Todoroki-kun is nearing his limit. The villain is an ice user, hero Shoto can fight him head on using his left- his fire side, so why wouldn't he?

Izuku gasps when he sees Hero Shoto receive a blow on his abdomen, the villain's fist is covered in ice. The ice travelled from the villain to hero Shoto, covering his body with more ice. Eri-chan trashed on her seat, running into Izuku for support. Izuku absentmindedly crouches down, welcoming Eri-chan in his arms. The little girl cried more, nuzzling on his neck, chanting, "D-daddy... Izu-kun, daddy..."

Izuku's eyes widened, his tears finally falling. Hero Shoto collapsed on the concrete, his body trembling and covered in ice. "No..." Izuku whispered, shaking his head in disbelief. "Please, no..."

Hero Shoto tried to stand up, his arms trembling as he tried to recover himself.

Izuku's eyes traveled to the twins, Kouri is in Katsu's arms, the young alpha soothing his twin while Kouri is busy crying. Todoroki-kun left earlier with a smile, promising them dinner. It shouldn't be like this.

He can beat that villain, he's hero Shoto.

IIzuku then remembered the anger and words Todoroki-kun had said nights before.

" *In my memories, my mother is always crying. "Your left side is unsightly," my mother said as she poured boiling water on me.* "

" *So, I did best at UA and being a hero without using my damn old man's quirk. I have completely become a hero without using it.* "

Izuku's eyes widened with the memories. It shouldn't be, right?

Hero Shoto's fine... He's got a family waiting here. So, he'll save himself even if he needs to use the quirk he never thought he'd use. He'll be fine. He needs to be fine. For them.

Izuku's eyes caught the live telecast again. His eyes widened when he saw it.

He can help Hero Shoto.

Earlier....

Shouto tried to get his mind off Midoriya, the twins, Eri and the things they had talked about. Hero Shoto is on a mission, they need to rescue and confirm villain bases.

"Deku, details." Shouto had said, hovering his middle finger on his earpiece. Deku, the AI Midoriya had given him, started telling Shouto the details about the mission and the details of the villains he might encounter.

When the AI is done, "Roger. Thanks, Deku." He said to his earpiece, readying himself to attack.

Shouto would be honest, ever since he had the talk with the twins, his thoughts were all over the place. He wanted to reciprocate Midoriya's feelings, and the kids seem to want that to happen too, but... is that really his feelings? What if it was just his alpha? Or maybe he's being influenced by his kids? That'll be too unfair for the omega.
