We were leaving Spain and going back to Dexter's house."Hey hon!Have you guys settled down?"I chuckled."We got to our house around lunch hour."Mrs.Bay hugged me and let us in.We went to the living room."We haven't seen you in ages!What happened since then?"I held my hand next to mt face."OH MY!Ralph you have outdone yourself honey."

"Y-You're engaged?"All of us turned around."D-Dad?"He walked out.Mrs.Bay leaned from his armchair and touched my knee."Honey I didn't know he was going to be here.I am so sorry."I sighed."No.No it's ok.He was going to learn eventually.I just hoped he learned from me he must feel awful."Mr.Bay came over and sat across me and next to his son."It was a little urgent he had to come.I thought we'd be done by the time you two came."I sighed."Again Mr.Bay.It's ok.But...I feel like I should go after him.He's still my dad and dammit I still love him."I turned to Ralph."Go."I walked out and ran after him."DAD!Stop!"I caught up to him.He was walking in the middle of the road."I'm sorry you learned that way.I-I thought you would learn eventually.Or you would never know at all.And I'm here because you're my dad.Just because I came after you does not mean I forgive you.I just-That was a big thing and you learned it indirectly from me."

"It happens."He sighed.Then his eyes got stuck to a spot and before I could turn around to see he turned me around and he got the hit from the back.I saw Fern vanish before my eyes.I say the knife behind my father.I don't know what it is.But he was dying."I love you Rosalind."Then he turned to ashes.Dad just died.I-I don't know how but he just...died.I-I didn't know what to think.How to think to begin with.What to do.How to react.I want to cry.I am very upset but I also can't.I got my flame to gather the ashes for me to contain later on.I-I just lost my father and I don't know what to do.After my flame was done with it's gathering I went back to Bay household."So...what happened?"I looked up from my hands to them."H-He vanished."

After dinner me and Ralph headed out to our house.Well it's Jayden's house but it's ours for the time being."Something happened.Spit it out.Between you and your father.Something happened.The whole time after you came back I have been checking on your flamekeeper every minute.Something is wrong.Extremely wrong.When you're laughing you feel nothing.When you smile you feel nothing.It's empty.Literally empty.Like you took your flame from me."I sighed.I went to his flamekeeper.And took out my flame."No.I didn't take my flame."I put it back."Then how can you feel empty?You love Dexter.You love his family.You love spending time with Bay family.But you felt nothing the whole time we were there."

"I'm going to ask you a question and do not take it lightly because I will do it."He nodded."Ok.Tell me."I sighed."Can I kill your dad?"He laughed."You should be joking because you're going nowhere near him."I sighed."You think I can't do it?"He came over and sat on the couch."Come."I sat on his lap and wrapped my arms around his neck as he did the same around my waist."It's not that I don't think you're capable.It's because I don't want you to carry that burden.I still have nightmares and I probably will for the rest of my life."I hugged him tight."But I need revange."I backed away to see his face.I placed one of my hands on his cheek as I rested my forehead against his."What revange?"I sighed."My dad is gone because he killed him.I need to make him pay.Touching me and trying to hurt me is one thing but even if I don't like my parents he can't take them away from me."

He backed away."Your dad is dead?"I nodded."He just vanished into ashes.I-I don't know what to feel.I just feel empty."He was shocked by my reaction."How can you be so calm?!"He put me to the other side of the couch to get up."How can you be so friggin calm?!"I sighed and got up."I have to talk to mom.She might hate me but she needs to know.That woman was ready to leave me for my father.She loves him more than anyone in this entire universe.It's not fair to her.He wasn't even supposed to be dead.It was supposed to be me.If dad didn't switch positions with me he would've been alive."Ralph grabbed my shoulders and shook me."Look at me."He sighed."I'm happy that it wasn't you.But don't you think you need to be able to feel something to go to your mom in the first place?"

"No.Mom needs to know.End of story."I got the keys and I left with a slam.I got an Uber to get me in five minutes and I went to my old house.Wow.I haven't been here for a very long time.I knocked on the door."Finally Edward.You're he-You're not Edward.What are you doing here?"I sighed."Mom?Uh..."And my feelings kicked in and I started crying."Mom dad is gone."I needed a hug so bad but I knew she wouldn't give me one.And she didn't.She pushed me away."Did you kill him like you killed your brother?!"I started crying even more."No mom Fern did!Phoenix Fern killed him.He was supposed to kill me but dad saved me."I whispered under my breath."Why did he save me?"

She sighed and stood in front of my with tears coming out of her eyes."Your father is dead because of you."Then she stepped back inside and slammed the door to my face.I started banging on the door."Mom!Mom!Mom please!"But she didn't open the door.I fell on my knees and cried in front of the door."If you and dad weren't fighting that day I wouldn't have blew up.You two were fighting constantly and I just couldn't have Remi waking up because of your fights.He was just a baby having his noon nap.So...I lost it.I set the house on fire.You two were knocked out on the street.I was stuck inside.I couldn't reach to Remi because I didn't know how.Dexter knew how to.So he got me.Later on it was too late to go get Remi.House collapsed a few minutes after I got out.Mr. and Mrs.Bay tried to go inside but it was too late.So if you want to blame someone...blame who started the fight that noon."

I was no longer sad.I was mad.I knew she started that fight.I got up and wiped my tears and walked away with hitting my heels on the ground knowing she's watching from inside.
