"I'm sorry.Am I too late?"I turned to Mrs.Crooks.She invited her.It was right out there.I scoffed."No.No you're not.I was just leaving.Enjoy the shopping ladies."I grabbed my shopping bags and dragon cage I was just a couple meters away when Jolene stopped me."She's your mom?"I nodded."Then why are you running away?"I sighed and looked up to the sky."Because there is a history."I turned back to Jolene."A history I don't want it to be repeated."She hugged me.Then she got the shooping bags out of my hand."I know a couple things.So let me tell you this.If you are as strong as my aunt told...you'll go back out there and stare right into her eyes and stand strong."I sighed."I don't know what Mrs.Crooks told you...but I'm weak."She laughed."Someone weak wouldn't have stood up to Phoenix Fern in front of the whole Dragondeth comunity.So let's go back."I nodded and we went back inside.

My mom stood up the second she saw me walk in."Rose?""Rosalind."I walked and sat down with Jolene.I turned to Jolene's mom."Are there any mundanes here right now?"She shook her head and I opened the cage."Brenton.Dalinda.Behave."They nodded and started racing around.Hector and Babette stood next to me."Who is the new lady?"I turned to my mom.I looked her right in the eye."She's unfortunately my mother Babette and Hector.My mother."They flew right at her.But I stopped them right on time."HECTOR!BABETTE!"They flew next to me and they continued giving death glares to my mom."Why would they attack me?""One sentence.They love me more than you ever did.Is it enough?"She sighed."I tried not to speak up but I am your mother!"I sighed."No need to yell.We can all be civil.I stopped them from attacking you so you do kinda owe me mom."She sat back down at her seat.We all sat there in silence.It was awkward for the rest but not me.I just stared at mom until she cracked.

"Rose I can't lose you too."I rolled my eyes."It's obvious that you want me because you missed me.You want me because you know if I leave you too you'll be on your own.Dad is bearly outside of his study anyways.Mom you don't love me.Even if you do...not as much as you did before.And make the matters worse I'm going to let you in on a little secret."Mrs.Crooks was a little confused and concerned.But I turned to my mom and leaned before I whispered."I'm bi."I leaned back."Say it.Say that you gave birth to a monster.An abomination.A filthy little freak.There was one more.I-I-I can't seem to remember correctly.Was it h-"She cut me off."Humiliation to the world."She grabbed her purse and left."I'm done here."I turned to the kids and their parents.They found themselves a place around my neck and I left with my shopping bags.

I slammed my room door."Rose?How do you feel?""I feel fine.Now if you'll excuse me.I'm going to head to bed early."Days went by like this.Until the first gala.Juniper looked sharp.His mom suggested that we walk in as a couple but I refused.I like standing on my own.Instead we went inside as a group.Jolene,her mom,Juniper and his mom.Five of us went inside all together.When paparazzis were taking photos we had one by one and as a group.Everything was perfect.Second gala went the same way.Third one was interesting though.After the photo stuff we went inside and there it was.Alex and his parents."Rose!Honey blue looks so good on you!"I turned around and hugged his mother."You look happy."He said it like it was implying something.He knew how miserable I was."Uh...yeah.Yeah I am."Then I turned to Juniper and his family."Guys this is the famous Alex.And these are his parents.My uncle and aunt."They all shook hands."Could you guys give me and Alex a minute?"They all agreed other than Juniper.We went outside.

"I told her."He gave me that confused look."I told my mom that I was bi and now she resents me even more.""How?"I sighed."Mrs.Crooks invited my mom on this trip.But I told her I was bi and she was gone the next second."He hugged me."Why didn't you tell me before?"I broke the hug."You were mad because you thought I ditched you on purpose.I didn't even know until I got that letter from Mrs.Crooks that I was going to Italy."He sighed."Where are you staying?""I'm staying at the hotel.They moved to their family house but I didn't want to.They respected it.Other than that I am miserable.Oh.Thank you for sending my dragons to me."He chuckled."I wasn't going to.But they said they missed you so I did it for them actually."I rolled my eyes."I'm sorry.Can you forgive me?"He nodded and we hugged.I broke the hug and looked at him."Damn you clean up nice."He rolled his eyes and we went back to the others."I'm sorry guys."

"No honey.He's your little brother."I nodded."Uh...he is.He is my little baby brother."I looked at Alex."C'mere."I pulled his cheek to me and kissed it.Then he wiped it."Your lipstick is all over me you dumbass."I rolled my eyes as I chuckled."You act like it's permanent or something Alex.Go to the toilet.Wash your face.It'll go away."He left and Juniper left right after.So I followed him thank God I did."Juniper Crooks don't even think about it.""You and your extreme friendliness!"Then he stormed off and I went back to the others with him.Rest of the night was usually Alex and Crooks having a staring contest.We were seperating and I thought Alex would like to come over.So Juniper and his family left to go to their mansion while me and Alex went to my hotel room.

"Nice room.Hey Hector,Babette,Brenton and Dalinda."I chuckled."They say hi too."I got my pjs out of the closet."I'm going to get out of the dress.I'll be back."I changed and I came back out."Rum?"He looked at me like I was kidding."Are you kidding?"I chuckled and shook my head as I poured myself a glass."What are you doing?"I chuckled and took a couple sips."I'm drinking.Do you want some or not?On second thought it's too early for you."He took the bottle out of my hand."It's too early for you too!"I looked at him and he took his phone out and called someone."Talk her out of it!"Then he gave me the phone."Little weirdo?""Baron?"He sighed."Tell me you didn't do it.You're taking medication!You'll-"Before he could continue I went back to the toilet and puked.
