Calum was never one to break a promise, and this time was no different.
They worked for each other, putting effort in every single day. That's what made it work. Calum never made the same mistakes again, he never tried to leave.
The book Cass started that fateful night at that hotel in LA ended up getting her on The NY Times best sellers list.
Because of this she could tour with the boys for an entire run. It wasn't a worry that her poorly selling books couldn't pay the bills. She'd never let Calum support her financially, she had to make her own way.
She could tour with them, and learned how to tune them out and write. It was no longer an issue if she could pay her rent, because Calum asked her to move in after a year together.
Their love stayed as pure and beautiful as ever.
Cassie found counseling for her grief, and trauma. She wanted to better herself and find her way in the world without those things.
Calum supported her completely and loved her through the grueling process of facing her trauma. He held her when she cried, and listened whenever she needed it.
They needed each other, and they had each other entirely and completely.
After three years together he proposed, much to her surprise. It wasn't even a question for her to answer yes. She knew a long time ago that they were meant to be and she only hoped for the universe to see them through.
They were magic together from the start, and nothing in the world could ever tear them apart.
That's the thing about love, real true love. There may be obstacles, and hardships, but at the end of the day that person is all that matters.
Love is what matters.
Without love there is no life, and they both knew that.
There was no question that they couldn't live without each other. So they lived with each other, and grew together each day.
They cultivated a garden of love so lush and beautiful that anyone would be jealous of it. It was a love for all time, never ending nor faltering.
May we all find a love so earth shattering, and heart stopping. My heart is with you all every day as you navigate the world. May it bring you peace and lifelong lovers.
